Read very, very carefully. There is an affirmation of many claims that have been made over the last few years. The FBI Director says he is to 'blame' for this. That seems to me to be an acknowledgment (?)
But some of the people who have claimed these things were going have been treated like they were running around in tin foil hats...
Does anybody believe anything the government tells us anymore? They have lied so many times that we are not even surprised. I treat anything the Feds say as wishful thinking or, even worse, outright deception and I view anything they do with great suspicion. They run the government like some kind of mafia operation.
But the agents who broke laws will be prosecuted according to the quotes I've read from the Justice Dept.
I think if anything it's more important for American's to know that the system works and no one is above the law. Whether you're an FBI Agent or Chief of Staff of the VP you still will be prosecuted if you break the law.

Just wait until the rethugs start spying on the Democrats
They break the law every day. Seldom are they prosecuted. It's wishful thinking to think that these guys are always punished. Almost never.
