Barack Obama claims to be a candiadate that crosses the boundaries of race.
There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America - there’s the United States of America.
But. let's take a closer look at his endorser's.
A Spry Farrakhan Sings Obama's Praises
CHICAGO (AP) — In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better.
other quote's by Farrakhan...
- The Jews don't like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that's a good name. Hitler was a very great man.
-They call them terrorists, I call them freedom fighters.
-White people are potential humans - they haven't evolved yet."
...and Obama’s minister and friend, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. and his Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, honored Farrakhan
at a gala, bestowing on him its Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteer award.
If Barack Obama really transcends racial boundaries does he not at least owe it to his supporters to disavow any endorsements and publicly criticize any such endorsements coming from such racist such as Farrakhan? Or is his claim There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America - there’s the United States of America JUST WORDS?
Just because someone endorses you, doesn’t mean that you endorse them and everything they have ever said.
The radical cleric Pat Robertson endorsed Rudy Giuliani. Does that mean the Rudy 911 believed that “gays and abortionists” were responsible for destroying the Twin Towers?
Seems to me that only Demecrats have to play this game.
Just because someone endorses you, doesn’t mean that you endorse them and everything they have ever said.
LOL, Sensor, you fucking hypocrite!! What a joke!!
Seems to me that only Demecrats have to play this game.
Apply what you just said to republicans who'd associated with Tom Noe without knowing what a thief he was. Then go wash your brain out with soap.
Stupid moron… Apples and oranges. Noe used his connections with corrupt Republicans in power to steel millions of tax payer dollars that he then funneled to other corrupt Republicans (I see a theme here) to help fund George Bush’s (Corrupter in Chief) presidential campaign.
So if you took stolen tax payer money from Noe or partied at one of his tax payer bought houses, a politician should have to get a beating everytime they open their mouth.
It’s not about what Noe said; it’s about the weak and corrupt Republican politicians who fed from his tax payer funded trough.
_Just because someone endorses you, doesn’t mean that you endorse them and everything they have ever said.
Then let Mr. Obama publicy reject these endorsements along with his condemation instead of looking in the other direction in hopes that he will garner Farrakhans supporters votes._____________________________________________________________________

See Fritz's response below...
But it was like pulling teeth and I am not so sure his answer is truthfully believable.
During tonights debate Clinton was arguing that Obama shouldn't just denounce the statements of Farrakahn and accept the endorsement, but rather reject his support altogether and words altogether.
The question was whether he would reject Farrakhan's support when Clinton spoke up and finally forced him to publicly 'reject' Farrakhan.
For the record...

condemn
con·demn [kuhn-dem]
–verb (used with object)
1. to express an unfavorable or adverse judgment on; indicate strong disapproval of; censure.
That's above and beyond reject.
"I decry racism and anti-Semitism in every form and strongly condemn the anti-Semitic statements made by Minister Farrakhan," Obama said in the statement. "I assume that Trumpet Magazine made its own decision to honor Farrakhan based on his efforts to rehabilitate ex-offenders, but it is not a decision with which I agree."
Further, the Anti-Defamation League praised Obama's statement with their own release on 1/15:
New York, NY, January 15, 2008 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today welcomed Barack Obama's statement strongly condemning the anti-Semitism of Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan. The Senator's statement came in response to reports that his minister, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., leader of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, had honored Farrakhan as one who "truly epitomized greatness."
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:
We welcome Barack Obama's condemnation of the anti-Semitic rhetoric of Minister Louis Farrakhan, and his making clear that he did not agree with his church's decision to honor Farrakhan with the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award.
Issues of racism and anti-Semitism must be beyond the bounds of politics. When someone close to a political figure shows sympathy and support for an individual who makes his name espousing bigotry, that political figure needs to distance himself from that decision. Senator Obama has done just that.
For the info Fritz. I was not aware the Barack condemed the statements of Farrakhan. But I still do not see where he publicly rejects the endorsements of these two. It's like he is saying while he disagrees with them he still needs the votes of their followers so he welcomes their endorsement. ______________________________________________________________________

But nobody forced Obama to go to the church that preaches black separationism and become good friends with the pastor there and even use the man's phrase "AUdacity of Hope" for his book title.
And his wife just now becoming proud of America? Why just now? It was some great spin and cover up after that statement.
he makes me proud to be an American. I have never felt that way before, ever. Because if we can produce a Barack Obama in this society today that gives me hope for tomorrow.
Just knowing that American's old, young, gay, straight, black, white, brown, male, female, rich, poor, educated, uneducated have embraced Mr. Obama provides me with the confidence that America does have a chance of becoming a great Nation again.
You say B. H. Obama gives confidence that America will be great once AGAIN because polls show a black candidate is winning the race. Somehow, as the most liberal senator he is uniting? Why is he uniting? He has very little experience and is the media darling. That should send up a red flag.
As far as America having a chance to be a great nation AGAIN - we can only be great again if a black president is in the Whitehouse? Character not color matters right? And we know nothing of his "character."
On being great AGAIN, is that because we Americans can finally be separated from being racists if a black is in the Whitehouse? I don't need to vote for a black person to know I'm not racist. If Barack makes America great AGAIN because he is in the Whitehouse and Black, and America is finaly freed from the racist label, one can say that America has never been great.
So, pray tell, when was America great before? Apparently not in your life time since you have never been proud of my country before Obama.
I've always been proud of my country and also always have been ashamed of some problems within my country.
Our faults should never sway our pride because our system unlike any others before or since has acknowledge from the begining that it was imperfect and while it may never achieve perfection it should always strive to.
If Obama gets elected I will be proud of my country, and yet will still be ashamed of certain aspects of it. This will not change regardless of whoever is elected. Even if the whole entire system were to be corrupted in my eyes I'd still be proud to be an American because through it all at the very heart of it the initial ideal behind it was to be of one to achieve a harmony in our society. Without the scars we'd never learn the lessons.

Quite honestly, America can be great AGAIN not because Obama is black, white, or green. Really all he has to do, is reverse course from the failed policies of the last 7 years and America will be great AGAIN.
This is funny. Republicans were saying that America could be great again if X was elected after Clinton termed out "because he brought America so low" Now Bush-dislikers are saying America can be great again after W is out of office. Coincidence? This is funny. One could criticize Clinton's foreign policy because 3,000 military personnel died while he was in office without any war or real conflict - check dept of defense.
What makes a nation great? It has absolutley nothing to do with who is running the country. We were great while Clinton and Bush were in office. It's all about the people and our freedoms. Who cares who is in office. We still have more opportunity here than anywhere else.
WOW, for once I completely agree with you! :)
I"d like Obama more, if he had even a little experience - but I haven't seen much to show that he has. He seems like a nice guy - but is too inexperienced, and so far, it IS only words I hear from him - platitudes ("we will", "we can") - but nothing on WHAT he plans to do, or HOW he plans to make it happen. I honestly don't give a damned if he's black, green, white or purple - or male or female - it 's not a racial thing with me, I"d vote for Colin Powell in a heartbeat. Now, there is an experienced man I could believe & trust in. I do trust Obama to do less damage than Hillary - for 4 years. McCain - not so much & not so sure, he's got a hot temper & changes his mind depending on which way the wind blows. But Obama hasn't got a single, solid political accomplishment to his name (got into the Senate by the seat of his pants & skated for anything of any seriousness).
Colin Powell because he is black, in a heartbeat? That is scary. I wouldn't vote for him for any reason.
endorse Obama not did he offer support, so there was nothing for Obama to reject. So don't get it twisted.
