Retired!! Blissfully! Busy collecting movie posters, robots, space guns, celebrity autographs, original comic art, and whatever else tickles my fancy, love antique shows & flea markets. And-best of all-NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO anymore!! 8^D

Maybe it's just me, but though I despise winter more the older I get, this is one of those abominable "nagging" ones-the worst kind. All winter long...a few nice calm days with no wind...then, bam! snow, chill factors (the wind is the one thing I absolutely cannot take), etc; just as if to say "I'm still here, and I'm not going anywhere." To me, that's worse than a harsh one, where it at least stays pretty much the same throughout the season. Agree? Disagree?
I also have a bad feeling we're going to see this ugly pattern through May. I hope to God I'm wrong, but this kind usually seem to hang on forever. I remember one where I had to wear a light jacket to work in the first week of June, due to the wind-chill factor. Ugh. Our decent weather is short enough as it is.

our winters here are only 8 weeks.
But it's nights like tonight that I'm sooooo glad I ain't freezing on a regular basis anymore.
Gonna drop to 33 degrees.
Got to dig those thermals out that I packed away a month ago....
seems like our NICE weather is only eight weeks. But it is true, people who are spoiled that live in warmer climates really suffer when it gets cold, because they're not used to it. MySister lives in Karloffornia, when they had a clod wet snap recently, they were freezing. Here, it was single digits, and to me that 30s would have been a heat wave.
