I-75 High Speed Pursuit ...where was TPD?

This high speed chase began in Michigan and ended up in P'burg Township. The chase took the MSP through the city limits from the Ohio/Michigan line to Rossford and ended near Roachton Road with the assistance of the OHP.

While the chase proceeded through Toledo it was only at about the South Street exit that a TPD patrol joined in pursuit for about 10 seconds before dropping off because they were about to enter Wood County.

Notice the condition of the TPD patrol car when it appears on the video. It was an embaressment. Makes you wonder if TPD dropped off because of juristiction or whether it was a case where their Police car could not hang.

and how the drivers obey the rule (or not) of pulling off to the side of the road for emergency vehicles.

Before everyone corrects me;"It was an embaressment" should read "It was an embarrassment"

Sorry for the late night spelling and TPS education.

LOL

...we just passed some big "Toledo Pride" thing....

I think the one thing that disappoints me is the policy during police pursuit is instead of being a "primary" pursuit vehicle and just quitting at the Wood County line, Toledo should have maintained a presence to protect fellow law enforcement in case the MSP trooper found himself in a "one-on-one" situation with alleged "armed" drug dealers, seeing a huge yellow bag on cocaine was thrown out the window before Alexis Road.

I do feel for officers involved in pursuits on expressways like this. To try and get some semblance of co-ordination when you're passing exits at 90 mph and getting resources out before accessable exits are passed before equipment could be utilized makes pursuits like this difficult, especially between juristictions with differing policies.
