Two teens killed when brief chase ends with crash
That article made me wonder if high speed pursuits are worth the risk. In 2003, a pursuit sparked a multi-night riot in Benton Harbor, MI, and I seem to remember a few years ago there was a kid killed in a TPD pursuit and since then they've only pursued suspects who posed a threat.
I'm curious to see what the consensus is in Toledo on the high speed pursuit issue...

I can't find it now but there was something I read in the last week or so about somewhere that didn't pursue a car stolen by a teen out for a joyride who ended up causing a few injury accidents.
So I guess its a damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of things sometimes.
The guy in the article you link to (in Benton Harbor) was driving his bike at 100 mph before they started chasing him, I'd say that alone says he posed a significant risk to innocent bystanders. What would they be saying had the police not pursed him and he ended up hitting and injuring someone else?
I'm not sure which way to go on this. One one hand I want criminals caught and I don't want innocents hurt, but I also don't want criminals knowing that they just have to drive a little faster to get away with a crime.
Anyone know how to make the font on the polls bigger. Its always smaller than the regular posts and hard to read.

You can try using the magnifier.
Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > Magnifier
computer screen, if you use Explorer, there is a magnifying glass with a + in it and 100% next to it. If you click the down-arrow button, you can increase the print size on entire screen.
