What do I want?
I want a new car every three years. That is $12, 000/year to save for a car.
I want to eat out with my wife and two kids two dinners a week. That is $80/week, or $4,000 a year. I want a nice, brick house with three bedrooms, a full basement, and a finished attic. That
You've got some issues.
My wants are also many. However, my needs are few.
I own a 1997 528i and a 1987 325i convertable, just purchased a 1997 Pontiac GTP. I own a one story 3 bedroom country-style home on a 80 x 125 lot in Florida, just minutes from the ocean. I get fresh steaks from my friend's farm in Fellsmere and I get real rum shipped from Puerto Rico. I go to 5 NASCAR races a year, with round trip airfare, 3 day hotel stay, rental car, hospitality tent, pit passes and suite seats. I travel to England twice a year with my exceptionally beautiful wife, in club seats. I golf at "Henley-on-Thames" country club with George Harrison's brother Paul, and in Oxford. I don't believe in church nor do I believe in having a whore. I am an exceptional employee sought out by headhunters regulary. Oh yeah, I'm selfish enough to not bring kids into the world, so I got a bunch of free time to have my loving and patient wife spend even that much more money. All that from a diploma from Macomber Whitney Vocational Technical High School.
The ONLY downfall is being ignored by Russ Lemmon when I offer to buy him lunch. That makes me sad.
Gee SouthEnd, you need to prioritize.
oldsouthend- you sound like a very pretentious, self-important, arrogant, self righteous jerk who's values are completely screwed up, but hopes to impress people with all the blow-hard bullshit of how much you got & how much you spend & how much you want - and by golly you deserve it & better. As for your 'wants' - baby, everybody has wants. As for what you spend - personally I think you dream small. Aspen & Hawaii? For that much money you could do Europe, Italy, etc. But to each his own. And if that is what you're spending, you need to rethink what you buy & where you buy it. As for what you think you deserve - who knows? But given the glimpse into your character here, I'd say you deserve a good swat up long side the head & time spent appreciating what you do have, instead of what you do not. The swat up long side the head is because you clearly have no idea of how lucky you are, and how hard other people struggle & do without, and comments like yours are like slaps in the face to those who struggle each day to keep food on the table. I've been poor & I've been well enough off, & will admit that well enough off is better. However, I also know wealthy & poor people, it's been my impression, that people who really have money & earned it the hard way, or old money - tend to not to try to flash & dazzle people with bragging. Some of the wealthier tend to wear their shoes till they fall apart & you'd never know they had money to look at them. But I digress - you posted to whine about how you don't have enough money to do the shit you want to do because you have a whore on the side (are we supposed to be impressed by that?). Boo, freaking hoo. I hope you get a disease from your whore & hope your wife divorces you because of it, and your kids discover what an asshole & pig their dad is. What an inspiration you must be to them. And really, if you are paying that much money on having a whore, you really do have issues, or are so pathetic that paying big bucks is the only way you can satisfy your kinks; or so gross that you can't get sex without paying for it. IF you are married, I feel sorry for your wife - but don't delude yourself by thinking she's so dumb she won't catch on, she's not that stupid. Hell, just the fact that you posted what you did on this forum tells me that you really ARE stupid, or you aren't married. If you AREN'T married, then it suggests the entire post is also bullshit. Get over yourself. I doubt anybody here was impressed at all, and I'm sure that was your hope.
oldsouth-I think the bigger question is whether your happiness rests on whether you get what you think you deserve or not. People can lose everything in a heartbeat - they learn a lot about what is really important. The other big question is - are your wife & kids happy with YOU? Do you have any idea how smug & self important you come off? Must be some ego trip you're on. Life has ways of humbling people fast, I suggest you get yourself prepared for the fall. In the meantime, if you're really looking to save a few bucks, you could start by firing your whore - there's lots cheaper available, just heard of one who will do ya for $20. Look at the money you'll save!

LMFAO Pete!
I'll cut one trip to England and sell the 528.
But I refuse to give up NASCAR and golf.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
I did embellish on the "headhunter", I'm just a lowly maintenance guy at some HOA. ;)
I think what ding-dong was implying that he has such a burden in his life, a new school will screw his designs over.
And Russ? After you're done reading this, just know I just wanted to buy your ass lunch, and impress you with my autographed Dale Earnhardt 1998 Daytona 500 ticket.
...but I didn't take this post as realistic - rather an example, considering the other posts by the same person...
I think you may be right maggie - perhaps I overreacted.
I dont think it's overreacting when after reading that composition you get the impression that this poster is a shallow and selfish person.
There are so much worse out there. Be grateful you ended up with who you have and aren't directly involved in this person's life or their problems.
And Russ? I got 60 minutes, my treat, k? ;) You cutie pie you! (pinchin cheeks)
I was thinking it was something like a satire piece myself.
Brian, you have way too much. Simplify your life and get rid of the junk. Ommmmmmmm, Mane Padme hommmmmm.
