How Many Watched The Candidates Forum on WGTE-TV?

I watched this program from the beginning pretty much through (although I did do some channel surfing). I missed the initial presentation by Webb, and missed the beginning by Wilma Brown. I am in District 3 so my vote won

...I liked Wilma Brown's answer about how she sees her role as a district council rep...paraphrasing, she said her job is to do what's best for the entire city while serving as the liaison between her district and the administration (for issues of service, etc) and the council (for legislation).

I thought that the two distict 5 candidates actually had substance to their comments - the rest said a lot of things without really saying anything...but then, I'm a pretty harsh judge when performing such critiques, having been there myself...

As for school board, all candidates did okay...Lisa Sobecki missed a good opportunity in her answer about being endorsed by the TFT. It was a question she should have anticipated from the Chamber - and if she'd prepared an answer, she didn't deliver it well.

Cheryl Caitlin and Harold Mosley both had some good ideas. Cheryl appeared really nervous (who wouldn't be?) and Mosley seemed more comfortable talking about the security issues than anything else (his law enforcement background showing through).

I already expressed my support for Chris Myers so it probably wouldn't be fair for me to say I thought he was the most prepared and most well-versed on multiple issues...

Interestingly, Jack Ford was not there and, as they had no seat for him, had obviously declined the invitation.

Cheryl may have appeared nervous, but I've seen her present the statistics, and her 8 point plan is right on target. Don't let her nervousness at one presentation take away from her qualifications for the job. I have been in her presence, and believe me she is well prepared.

...I think she's got a good grasp of many aspects of the TPS system and I, too, have been impressed by her research. My mention of her nervousness was only an observation... the more she's in front of the public, the more comfortable she'll be.

btw - Both Chris and Cheryl have developed platforms and plans for implementation. Together with Darlene, I think they'd make a formidable team.
