Hatred - How far will it go? - Smokers Required to wear special wristbands in Wales

Here's a link about the wrist bands in Wales that doesn't contain exaggerated claims of rampant National Socialism.

As it turns out, the wrist bands aren't being used to single out smokers, they're being used by the clubs' door staff to allow reentry to smokers since they have to step outside after smoking ban was enacted. And this the wrist bands are not mandated by the government, they're issued by the individual clubs. It's only the clubs that are using these wrist bands because they charge a cover and often times have a line to get in. Letting patrons exit and reenter without some verification that they paid the cover charge previously would result in chaos at the door and fire code violations. I imagine after the 500th time someone screamed, "Oi! Sod off ya wanker, I already queued up and paid my 8 Quid!" when a patron tried to get back into the club, they came up with the wrist band idea.

Either way, wrist bands were a part of the college barcrawl when I was an undergrad. As were the double X mark scrawled onto the hands of underage clubgoers. Being categorized by clubs isn't new, it's just happening to smokers now.
