Irony Award

Groundhog day? Another Irony Award goes out to Stainbrook

I thought I read this story before in the Blade :)
Stainbrook wins another Irony Award for the few things that made me chuckle:

"They were standing at my voting location, they're handing out literature saying Riley Troup is the endorsed Republican," Mr. Stainbrook recalled. "I was devastated. I was hurt."

What about the Old West End people getting phone calls saying their candidate was endorsed by the Lucas County Republican Party...(long pause)...grassroots coalition. Listen at:

Ashford and LMAO moment, worthy of the Irony Award

I was watching NBC 24 this evening and during their 7 PM news they were talking about the Marina District vote. They said that Michael Ashford hesitated in his response, and they asked him why. Ashford said: I think it is wrong to give taxpayer money to a private business (or developer).

Stainbrook wins the Irony Award

Jon Stainbrook wins the "Irony Award":

"Party activist Jon Stainbrook, who is running for chairman in a party election set for Saturday, said Wack's employment by the party until yesterday was evidence of the party's tolerance for corruption that he said remains from the days of disgraced party chairman and fund-raiser Tom Noe."
