As the only Talk Show host in attendance this afternoon at the City Council Comittee Of The Whole meeting it's obvious others will be spending time catching up by getting the administration side of the story. That's fine because both sides need to be heard. The side you will hear on my show tomorrow is what I heard and saw , unfiltered through a politicians need to get reelected. The discussions on the Tetra Tech Swan Creek Project and the one on the Erie Street Market ran from 3:45-7p but it was well worth it so that I can speak without using the local paper as a guideline. Also tomorrow a spokesman from the National Taxpayer Union on the plan to drop the federal gas tax for the summer. Enjoy your evenings.

As an eyewitness, I can tell you that Troy Neff had every intention of covering the council committee hearing. He was mugged in the parking garage at Government Center, attacked by a burly, blond-haired guy wearing a yellow windbreaker with "WSPD" on the back. (I figure "WSPD" is an acronym for a new gang in town). I ran over to intervene when I saw the guy kicking the prone Neff in the ribs after throwing him to the concrete and smashing his recording gear, but I was too slow and the perp made it out of the garage and was headed up towards Cherry Street when I last saw him. He was shouting "ronpaul, ronpaul" as he escaped. Probably some kind of gang call. Either that or he's a crackhead. But Neff did try to make it to the hearing.
for attending Fred. I know how mind numbing these meetings can be listening to politicians bloviate.
...or camcorder (if permitted). Then I won't have to rely on information filtered through fred.
You absolutely should attend. Bring whatever recording device you need. Sit through the whole meeting. Then when you comment people will know you aren't talking out your ass.
South End, you are free to bring whatever type of recording gear you have into council chambers. And no one will bother you if you do. It's actually kind of a laid-back setting, even with the occasional hostility at the front of the room. Grab your camcorder and come on down.
