Okay-for all of you who say you're tired of 'smoke threads-WHY DON'T YOU CALL THE BLADE and tell THEM that? Long read, and no one will do it (well, maybe Starling and a few others), but-as of the time this old thread stopped/died, there were FIFTY articles or editorials in the rag saying the same vile, insulting things about smokers. Basically, it was the same editorial over-and over-and over-etc. Yet, whenever we here post a thread related to something happening with snokers/smoking-USUALLY a new development-we're told to stop. After looking through this, ask yourself how many more articles/editorials block and his minions have written/repeated SINCE THEN-and then ask yourself who has the obsession. Thank you.
As an ex-smoker, I sympathize with those who still need the daily influx of nicotine. As far as the number of smoking threads, if I'm not in a mood to read them, I just skip them. No one forces a person to read a given thread, and there are some vaild concerns about individual freedoms.
The one good thing in the corner of smokers is the powerful tobacco lobby. Assaults on smoking rights are vigorously fought by this well-funded group of lobbyists.
You've GOT to be kidding me. If you actually belive that, you're nuts. The tobacco companies (especially Phillip Morris) have totally sold out their customers.
