The question is not if Washington Local violated state law during its Issue 2 levy campaign in 2014, but to what extent

Updated with Patrick Hickey's statement

My curiosity was stirred in watching everything going on at Washington Local and stirred even more once Superintendent Patrick Hickey blocked me on Twitter for stating the obvious. Seeing a disturbing behavior here I decided to look at some things that were done in the past to really get a grasp on how things are run in Washington Local….and I did not have to go far to find out how bad things were run during the 2014 Issue 2 levy campaign.

We can all agree that when you operate in a certain environment, there are some things that are well known to anyone including rules and regulations. If you pay a lawyer, you expect them to know the laws and proper procedures. But it seems like "Levy 101" items at Washington Local are missed by the leaders who are paid to know what is OK and not OK. There are no excuses on why these laws are being violated, and there are questions that the citizens of the district need to ask the board members and their administration (I don’t live in the district).

Superintendent Patrick Hickey's lawyer asks resident to remove critical posts

Washington Local Superintendent has threatened to sue a resident of the district for critical posts she made on her blog and on social media. Today, a lawyer for Superintendent Patrick Hickey asked Washington Local resident to delete blog posts and comments she made on social media about Hickey. This morning, Terri Kern was sent the following cease and desist letter by Dennis Pergram of Delaware, Ohio:

Ms. Kern:

The Ghost of Emmett Till

In the 1950's a fourteen year old teenager (Emmett Till) was viciously murdered.in Mississippi. That event, more than any other atrocity, sparked the Modern Civil Rights Movement. Here we are again on the verge of the social unrest that defined that era. In many ways America has changed for the better. Millions of Americans who couldn't vote can now vote and discrimination in public places and the workplace is against the law. Slowly the rights of these Americans have eroded, highlighted by the Gestapo attitude and tactics against people of color that has resurfaced.

Can Canadian Born Ted Cruz Run For President?

Ted Cruz was born in Alberta Canada to a native Cuban and a mother born in the United States. If I use the same argument that Obama birthers used, he can't. Obama was born in the United States (Hawaii). I have a friend who father was born in Great Britain to an American GI and a British mother. My friend is classified as an alien and must have a Green Card.

Todd Grayson: Corporate Toadie, Koch-Sucker, Republican A-hole

Like most Republicans, Todd Grayson doesn't know when to shut his mouth (or shut off his computer and smartphone) when it comes to things like domestic violence and womens' rights.

Democrats Prosecutorial abuses

As I predicted Texas Governor Rick Perry's attorney's have filed to have the case dismissed outright with prejudice. Go to the link to read the writ.

I must say this is one of the best writs I've seen in a while. It details why using the courts for political reasons is a bad idea and the freedoms it attacks on us and our political system.

Gov. Nixon(D. MO) Deploys National Guard To Ferguson

Governor Nixon, of Missouri has signed an executive order to deploy the National guard to Ferguson. That will also mean more serious military equipment is on its' way. Hopefully they will also be able to train local PD officers as far as military hardware use is concerned.

Payroll deductions at the Sylvania Schools help fund school levy campaigns

The latest into the story surrounding Sylvania Schools' levy practices for Issue 3 which was voted down in May. From Maggie Thurber at Ohio Watchdog:
===============
Allowing teachers and administrators to contribute to school levy campaigns isn’t illegal, though many Ohioans might be surprised the practice exists.

Instead of writing a separate check, school employees fill out a form authorizing the deduction and, voila, they’re donating to the levy campaign. The district processes the deduction and forwards a check for the total to the campaign committee.

Jim Crow and The Donkey: A True History the Left Loves To Ignore

You know you've hit a sore spot when the Left starts screeching.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow's producer, Steve Benen, just took a whack at the American Civil Rights Union's new booklet, "The Truth About Jim Crow," (TTAJC) which National Review Online writer John Fund wrote about in a recent column.

Benen cites a critique from the Atlanta Journal Constitution blogger Jay Bookman: "Jay Bookman took a closer look at the pamphlet Fund's piece was promoting, highlighting some of its more glaring errors of fact and judgment."

GOP Blasts Democrats for Boycotting Talks on VA Legislation

Republicans slammed Democrats on Thursday after most of them boycotted a conference committee meeting to work out differences between House and Senate bills addressing the Veterans Affairs crisis.

"The crisis at VA is not a partisan problem, and I will do everything I can to prevent this from devolving into an exercise in the sort of bickering and name-calling for which Washington has become infamous," said Rep. Jeff Miller, the Florida Republican who chairs the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.

Iran nuclear talks to be extended for 4 months

Good job Kerry, give Iran a little more time to get the bomb.

What a joke. Iran is laughing all the way to their nuclear bomb lab.

Iran and six world powers agreed Friday to extend talks over Tehran’s nuclear program until Nov. 24.

GOP appointee to Board of Elections has her own "interesting" past

Is there no end to the questionable characters that Jon Stainbrook knows? Apparently not.

Tonight Jon and his crew of unsavory followers selected Kelly Bensman as one of the two GOP appointees to the Lucas County Board of Elections. She's got a history with the BOE--and it's not exemplary.

Back in 2007 when Stainbrook was plotting his takeover of the Lucas County GOP, his "endorsed" candidate in District 2 was Joe Kidd. Well, reports surfaced that Kidd was living in Detroit (The Blade even featured a photo of Stainbrook visiting Kidd at his Detroit apartment in a 2006 article http://www.toledoblade.com/frontpage/2006/10/08/Kidd-s-wrong-choice-led-...). One might think that would negate his ability to be elected to the GOP Central Committee in Lucas County, but not when you're friends with Stainbrook. It seems that Kidd gave a Fullington Road address, which so happened to be Bensman's home.

It gets even more interesting (see link at end of this post), but does someone who apparently allowed her address to be used to qualify a non-resident as a candidate sound like it's improving the culture of the BOE?

Obama: “Order and Progress Can Only Come When Individuals Surrender Their Rights to an All-Powerful Sovereign”

Editor's Note: I've decided to put this at the top since many people simply read a title and never read the content of articles. Then they pontificate about the article's content as though they read it or even watched the video if supplied. If you don't read the content of the article, then you have no authority to comment on it. I find this incredibly ironic considering many conservatives are so upset their representatives don't read legislation before voting on it. I added the full video before publishing Leon's article, so that you can view it all the way through.

Quite a list!

OBAMA LIES, SCANDALS & QUOTES::
(***not a comprehensive list)
1. "I will have the most transparent administration."
2. "I have shovel ready jobs."
3. "The IRS is not targeting anyone."
4. "If four Americans get killed…uh…. it is not optimal." (Benghazi)
5. "ObamaCare will be good for America."
6. "If you like your doctor, you can keep him, period."
7. "Premiums will be lowered by $2500"
8. If you like your health insurance, you can keep it, period.
9. "I did not say you could keep your health care." (Regardless that 29 recorded videos show I did)

CA Congressman Dana Rohrabacher: Why Doesn’t Obama have a Valid Social Security Number and Valid IDs?

Attorney Orly Taitz has been advancing the issue of Barack Obama's fraudulent documents, including his birth certificate, selective service form and his use of a bogus Social Security number for several years now. She has also thrown her hat into the ring in the primaries for California Attorney General. On Monday, Taitz said that she had three United States Congressmen, including her own Representative, along with voters who specifically asked questions about Obama's bogus IDs.

AWOL Traitor Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl Traded for Taliban Terrorists: “In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.’’

The policy of the United States government has always been we do not negotiate with terrorists. So why did the Obama administration release five of the worst GITMO jihadists – Taliban leadership – in exchange for an AWOL soldier – a traitor – who willingly walked away from his unit, raising the question of whether he could be charged with being absent without leave or desertion.

USA Today: Many called Bergdahl a traitor or a deserter. Stephen Kirouac, calling Bergdahl a “dirtbag” and “sympathizer,” was among many who seized on that speculation to criticize the rescued soldier.

Fed. Court Ruling: Cops Can Kick In Your Door & Confiscate Guns Without Warrant or Charges

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals may have just dealt a serious blow to the U.S. Constitution.

In a unanimous decision earlier this month the Court determined that law enforcement officers are not required to present a warrant or charges before forcibly entering a person’s home, searching it, and confiscating their firearms if they believe it is in the individual’s best interests.
