As ranking member of the House Healthcare Access and Affordability
Committee, as well as a member of the Finance and Appropriations Human
Services Subcommittee, I am invested in issues affecting all aspects of
health services for Ohioans. With the recent passage of the state

The Trevor Casey Story

Here's the rest of the Trevor Casey story. It seems that I was only partially right - 14 year old Trevor decided to get high on pot and run his smart mouth to the Toledo Police, with predictable results. Here's the link to the story in the Toledo Blade:

http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090519/NEWS02/905190...

You know, I'm not a big fan of the Toledo Police, but so far I can't fault them for this one. Trevor got what he deserved, and the real crime is that the city will have to defend itself against a frivolous lawsuit.

TOLEDO,Ohio – When the city's water commissioner, Willie Perryman, Jr., suddenly retired on Sept. 23 from his $65,000-a-year job, there was little surprise at City Hall.

Perhaps Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and his top aides, Tom Kroma and Robert Reinbolt, encouraged him to leave. Or maybe Perryman, the longtime pastor at Jerusalem Baptist Church on Dorr Street, had had enough after a tumultuous six weeks.
