Former TPS business manager Burns mysteriously becomes very corrupt in Cleveland - is indicted - hints TPS situation is worse

Wow, who would have thought Dan Burns would be indicted for stealing money in Cleveland. What could have caused such a praised man here in Toledo to mysteriously become corrupt. Larry Sykes, when he was on the board before, said everyone looks up to TPS and had nothing but praise for Dan Burns. One has to wonder why he went to the dark side so quickly or was it quick????

California's Medical Marijuana Truce,

Marijuana advocates were not the only ones overjoyed when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that he was ending federal raids on medical marijuana facilities unless they are in violation of both state and federal laws. In budget-strapped California, for one, taxpayers are grateful. There, the fed crackdowns, which had continued despite the end of the state's own raids, got in the way of upwards of $100 million in revenue from medical marijuana sales taxes in 2007, according to Americans for Safe Access (ASA), an advocacy group for prescription pot.

Serial Criminals Hurt West Toledo

After a three-month investigation of burglaries in my district, I've found a disturbing pattern; the crimes are being committed by people who should have stayed locked up a long time ago. Consider this:

- Mark Kosky, arrested for breaking and entering in the 43-hundred block of Sylvania Ave. has been hit with 35 criminal charges since 1978. He's on the street today.
- Gregory Paquin, arrested for a burglary in the 48-hundred block of Harvest, has 11 criminal arrests since 1987. He too is on the streets today.

Telb's sheriff department under investigation by the FBI? Can't be.

I can't believe that the Sheriff's department is under investigation by the FBI. They have been the epitome of perfection in the last 15 years. Guns getting smuggled in, drugs, mistaken releases, deputies now serving behind bars, those are nothing but little blips on such an impeccable record. Someone please pinch me.
