Pounds to announce that Lucas County’s largest circulation Sunday newspaper will expand to publishing two days a week starting March 10.

Toledo, OH - Lucas County Republican Chairman Jeff Simpson announced that the roster of Central and Executive Committee members as required by the Ohio Revised Code were filed with the Lucas County Board of Elections this afternoon. This process is required in order for the Republican State Central Committee to confirm the results of the meeting held on December 21 in which Mr. Simpson was elected Chairman of the Lucas County Republican Party.

The YMCA of Greater Toledo announced Oct. 28 that President and CEO Robert Alexander plans to retire on July 31, 2010.

The YMCA’s Board of Trustees has appointed Lee Dunn, YMCA Trustee for Life, to lead a search committee that will work with staff from YMCA of the USA, the national resource office for YMCAs, to find Alexander’s successor, according to a news release.

Black Swamp Conservancy Elects Toledo Man as Vice President

Perrysburg, Ohio (September 18, 2009) – Black Swamp Conservancy, a non-profit land conservation organization based in Perrysburg, has elected Ken Zeck of Toledo as vice president.

Mr. Zeck’s term as vice president runs until June 2011. He has served on the conservancy’s board of trustees since 2003 and was president from 2005 to 2007.
