Where Is Fox News' Outrage Over Keystone XL Land Rights?
http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/01/13/where-is-fox-news-outrage-over-k...
Quote from article:
"Fox News consistently pushes fears of government "land grabs" surrounding environmental regulations. But the network celebrated the recent court decision allowing TransCanada to force construction of the Keystone XL pipeline on private land -- with no mention of the threat to landowner rights.

Stand with cops? They could make it easier

Perhaps you have also heard the radio ad for a website called Stand With Cops (standwithcops.org). The purpose of the site is to encourage people to write messages of support for police.

As a kid, I was taught to respect policemen--I still do. But the police unions could sure make it easier for me to get motivated to support cops if they would stay out of politics.

The irony of the protests against the police is that most of the participants are people who vote Democrat--the liberals who think "we've got to feel sorry for these poor minorities because the cops are singling them out because of the color of their skin." Yet, ALL of the police unions support, fund and encourage their members to vote for Democrats. Be careful what you wish for.

Ohio Wind Farms: The results

AT CROSSWIND
http://www.farmanddairy.com/news/wind-test/234578.html
Quote from article:
The projects, known as Timber Road Wind Farm and Blue Creek Wind Farm, are still young. But, according to managers of both, they’re already performing.

“The (Blue Creek) project has delivered what we said it would,” said Dan Litchfield, senior project developer.
Production Results

That includes about $2.7 million in annual tax payments, $2 million annually in lease agreement payments, $600 million from the company that built the farm, and enough energy to power about 76,000 homes.

NYPD Arrests Down 66%!

Oh, my! The NYPD is virtually on strike. Arrests for minor crimes are down 94%, and overall they are down 66%. You have to be careful what you ask for--you just might get it. Criminals in this country should incorporate, and then sell shares to the public!

The scourge of term limits

I am posting a link to a recent article in the Detroit Free Press. One of the most significant issues with which it deals is the issue of term limits for elected officials. The writer purports that partisan redistricting and term limits have severely limited the ability of Michigan's voters to affect their government.
IMHO the same applies to Ohio voters and Ohio state government. I have often stated that the only thing term limits truly accomplish is to limit the choices voters have for elected offices. But this writer puts in into the context of the real situation in Michigan today.

Obama Apologizes To Castro

I smell another Apology Tour, 2.0. Next stop to kiss the ring of NorCom leader?

Why can't the federal government attract the best and the brightest?

I know that this post is politically incorrect, perhaps even naïve. The general public is often blind to the world of giant corporations and the "play" money which are the earnings of thousands of corporate middle and upper management executives. But, I've always enjoyed tilting at windmills. Until and unless we, as a general public, decide that paying more nearly competitive salaries to top government officials will yield better run government, we will continue to get the government we are willing to pay for.

Don't Believe Everything You Hear

For those of you that listen to Rush Limbaugh, you might want to know he tried to fool you today. He did so by taking Sen. Tom Harkin's words out of context. Hopefully you all had the sense to check things out for yourselves before believing everything you heard.

Did the name ring a bell with anyone else ? ? ?

Was reading through the Blade this morning and happened upon this story of a shooting in West Toledo.

Wondered if the victim's name seemed familiar to anyone else.

Lucas County to attract and retain immigrants

http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2014/11/24/Retaining-immigrants-seen-as...

A paragraph in the article says that company's have moved to non-union states and other countries. Wouldn't it be easier to make Lucas County like the other states and countries than to bring in illeagal immigrants er I mean immigrants? Then maybe more residents, at least the ones left here, could start business's without government interferance.

And Look What We just Found!!

That's righttttttt! Lois Lehrners' "30,000 lost forever" e-mails have magically re-appeard. That will be a result of the rest of the dimocrats party scurrying up the gangplank and heading for the door(think: rat scene from "Titannic") She'll be revisiting Congress. Sooner rather than later

Obama Can Reform Dark Money With a Stroke of a Pen

Quote from article:

"President Barack Obama can issue an executive order today that requires government contractors to disclose their dark-money campaign contributions.
Why doesn’t he? And why don’t campaign-finance-reform organizations push for such a fix?

NY Post columnist: One did with with faulty information - One deliberately mislead the public

Notable:
Yet Gruber joined the HHS payroll right after Obama took office, in March 2009. He was paid $392,600 to consult on ObamaCare. Some might call this kind of arrangement “corruption.”

It’s like an expert witness appearing in court to swear that BP never spilled any oil while working as BP’s $400,000-a-year publicist.

=====

Gruber made 1.5 million

Sorry Pelosi and Obama, your 400k consultant said they mislead us

Washington Post confirms Jonathan Gruber was a consultant for Obamacare - read this Hot Air post to see their argument unravel - warning, to see the lie unraveled does make your blood pressure rise.

Are we soon to witness the end of the petroleum era?

According to Dennis Gartman, a breakthrough in nuclear fusion by Lockheed-Martin is going to make petroleum go the way of whale oil. Here's the article from the Yahoo-Finance website: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/gartman-were-witnessing-end-oil-221420996....

Evidence supports Officer's story

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/new-evidence-supports-officers-ac...

The Dept of Justice had previously stated that there was not enough to bring charges of any Civil Rights violations.

Now experts have say that the autopsy report supports the testimony of Officer Wilson.

The damning evidence is that there is a wound on Brown's thumb with gun powder residue inside the wound and Brown's blood inside the Officer's vehicle. That suggests there was a struggle over the weapon in the car.

What are Michelle Obama's girls eating at school?

In true "Let them eat cake" royal tradition, Michelle Obama is insisting that public school students eat meager lunches with such kid-friendly items as kale while her daughters are enjoying gourmet-like meals at their exclusive private school.

The Michelle inspired school lunch program has been met with such negative reviews that there's a Twitter hashtag (#ThanksObama) where students post pictures of their pathetic school meals.

However, Malia's and Sasha's lunches at the Sidwell Friends School are enough to fill tummies with mouth-watering delights. According to the school's website (link provided later), October 24's lunch will be:

Minestrone Soup
Buffalo Chicken Salad
Baked Ziti
Vegetable Ziti
Roasted Cauliflower
Kiwi

Yum!

Why Do Homosexuals Want To Marry In Christian Churches?

I can't understand why homosexual people want to get married by a Christian minister or in a Christian Church. They have chosen a lifestyle that clearly contradicts the teaching of both the Old and New Testaments but they insist on marrying under Christian traditions. A Christian couple was fined $10,000 by the State of New York and ordered to pay a lesbian couple $1,500 each for not allowing them to marry on their property. http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2014/09/27/gay-mafia-claims-another-...
