The disappeared: Chicago police detain Americans at abuse-laden 'black site'
"The Chicago police department operates an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site.",/i>
Obama Signs 2013 NDAA: May Still Arrest, Detain Citizens Without Charge
Pretty much as I expected:
Also discussed here is what "mother jones" is all about!
Eric Holder, correctly, found no evidence to charge Zimmerman with any civil rights violations.
Should McCain resign from office and apologize to the American people?
See link below.
The Ohio Auditor’s office is wrapping up its investigation into how Sylvania Schools staff and resources were used last year to campaign for a school levy, which was rejected by voters.
A spokesman for the state office, Carrie Bartunek, confirmed for the first time that the office was investigating, but declined to provide details of findings or say when the work may be completed.
This will probably happen in the rest of the liberal schools across the country.

Majority of Republican Central Committee members recruited by Stainbrook didn’t vote in November Election
Does anyone think this was not the case? :)
Republican Governor John Kasich and the Ohio GOP may not care that over half of the Lucas County Republican Party Central Committee (LCRP-CC) members recruited by Jon Stainbrook did not vote in the November General Election.

Dr Gary L Wolfram:
Where Is Fox News' Outrage Over Keystone XL Land Rights?
Quote from article:
"Fox News consistently pushes fears of government "land grabs" surrounding environmental regulations. But the network celebrated the recent court decision allowing TransCanada to force construction of the Keystone XL pipeline on private land -- with no mention of the threat to landowner rights.
Perhaps you have also heard the radio ad for a website called Stand With Cops (standwithcops.org). The purpose of the site is to encourage people to write messages of support for police.
As a kid, I was taught to respect policemen--I still do. But the police unions could sure make it easier for me to get motivated to support cops if they would stay out of politics.
The irony of the protests against the police is that most of the participants are people who vote Democrat--the liberals who think "we've got to feel sorry for these poor minorities because the cops are singling them out because of the color of their skin." Yet, ALL of the police unions support, fund and encourage their members to vote for Democrats. Be careful what you wish for.
Quote from article:
The projects, known as Timber Road Wind Farm and Blue Creek Wind Farm, are still young. But, according to managers of both, they’re already performing.
“The (Blue Creek) project has delivered what we said it would,” said Dan Litchfield, senior project developer.
That includes about $2.7 million in annual tax payments, $2 million annually in lease agreement payments, $600 million from the company that built the farm, and enough energy to power about 76,000 homes.
Oh, my! The NYPD is virtually on strike. Arrests for minor crimes are down 94%, and overall they are down 66%. You have to be careful what you ask for--you just might get it. Criminals in this country should incorporate, and then sell shares to the public!
I am posting a link to a recent article in the Detroit Free Press. One of the most significant issues with which it deals is the issue of term limits for elected officials. The writer purports that partisan redistricting and term limits have severely limited the ability of Michigan's voters to affect their government.
IMHO the same applies to Ohio voters and Ohio state government. I have often stated that the only thing term limits truly accomplish is to limit the choices voters have for elected offices. But this writer puts in into the context of the real situation in Michigan today.
I smell another Apology Tour, 2.0. Next stop to kiss the ring of NorCom leader?
I know that this post is politically incorrect, perhaps even naïve. The general public is often blind to the world of giant corporations and the "play" money which are the earnings of thousands of corporate middle and upper management executives. But, I've always enjoyed tilting at windmills. Until and unless we, as a general public, decide that paying more nearly competitive salaries to top government officials will yield better run government, we will continue to get the government we are willing to pay for.
For those of you that listen to Rush Limbaugh, you might want to know he tried to fool you today. He did so by taking Sen. Tom Harkin's words out of context. Hopefully you all had the sense to check things out for yourselves before believing everything you heard.
Was reading through the Blade this morning and happened upon this story of a shooting in West Toledo.
Wondered if the victim's name seemed familiar to anyone else.
A paragraph in the article says that company's have moved to non-union states and other countries. Wouldn't it be easier to make Lucas County like the other states and countries than to bring in illeagal immigrants er I mean immigrants? Then maybe more residents, at least the ones left here, could start business's without government interferance.
