Tireman Auto Service Centers Fights Recession with Free Tire Repairs and Free 36 Month Road Hazard Warranty

I was not sent this directly, but wanted to publish it here. I am a happy customer of Tireman service centers. The local company's tire prices are very competitive and they back their warranties. I know this from the experiences I have had.

Cleveland Board member apologizes for Burns' surveillance of district employees

This is another one of those questions, did he really just start doing this in Cleveland? I don't think so, but because no one watches for this locally, we probably will not know.

From the Plain Dealer
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland school board Vice Chairwoman Louise Dempsey apologized Friday to the community, saying she's sorry that the district hired private investigators to keep tabs on employees.

"What happened was unconscionable. The board does not condone this practice at all," Dempsey said. "We will never condone this behavior."

Latest Blade changes

It is a disappointment that Editor and Publisher is shutting its doors. They were always a good source of information on the Blade. While they are closing up shop, here is the latest on the changes at the Blade. I have not watched the local coverage of the changes, but there are a few more positions discussed in this report than just Kushma.

Former TPS business manager Burns mysteriously becomes very corrupt in Cleveland - is indicted - hints TPS situation is worse

Wow, who would have thought Dan Burns would be indicted for stealing money in Cleveland. What could have caused such a praised man here in Toledo to mysteriously become corrupt. Larry Sykes, when he was on the board before, said everyone looks up to TPS and had nothing but praise for Dan Burns. One has to wonder why he went to the dark side so quickly or was it quick????

Fisher supports Educational Reform
Toledo, Ohio – “It really speaks volumes when you have such a diverse group of people and organizations supporting your campaign,” said Darlene Fisher. “Our children deserve leadership that puts their interest first. Keeping the lines of communication open, listening to our community regarding important issues, confronting obstacles that hamper learning and moving forward with action have been my guiding principles. I believe that is why so many from such diverse backgrounds are supporting our school board campaign,” she said.
