We got home this evening around 9:30 p.m. and there was a huge ship in the channel - but it didn't look like a freighter...
It had at least three decks with a couple of towers and neon lights flashing. The decks had rows of lights from multiple windows. It looked like a cruise ship going up the river.
Even with binocs, it was clearly not a freighter.
Is a cruise ship scheduled for arrival in the Port of Toledo this weekend?
It is for the I-280 party tomorrow night (thurs). I saw them talking about it on Conklin and Company. I did not pay too much attention to it, but they were talking about bringing a big ship from somewhere for the party. They had to find a ship to hold a party for around 800 people.
They needed something that could hold 800 to 1200 people, and they found a boat that used to be owned by Merv Griffin. The boat will come from Detroit, they sold 1100 tickets, there are 100 to 200 tickets left. This will happen at 6:00 p.m. which is when boarding happens then the boat leaves at 8:00 p.m. It will cruise around for a bit then the gala will be over.
:-)
We don't remember days only moments...
...when viewed all lit up at night...I know that the Port's trying to get cruise ships to stop on a regular basis...wishful hoping that this might have been the first one.
That's Guest Zero's new ride!
