If the uncertainty of a Presidential nominee continues beyond Super Tuesday the nominees from both parties could be decided by "Superdelegates". These are influential politicians inside their perspective political machines.
I know most in this country don't understand how a President is actually chosen in this country but the primary is even more confusing. The addition of Superdelegates is a throwback to the party boss era that ended less than 100 years ago where internal factions decided the nominations.
With the importance of Superdelegates on the Democratic side and the lack of a clear leader on the Republican side the nominations could be decided at the actual convention (Something that hasn't happened since Ford vs Regan in '76) and wouldn't be decided by the voting public at all. Could this create the same type of questions that were asked in '68?

be especially strange. Delegates will be important this year and who knows what will happen.
Well people think that they're disenfranchised when they're asked for an ID or when their ballot is confusing. Just imagine if their vote is nullified because a career politician or a party boss votes for the other guy in a tight race.
Both parties allow for this but I brought it up because most voters don't know what they're actually voting for in presidential elections. They're voting for delegates not actually the candidate themselves. Normally it's a non-issue but in a close election it comes into play.
