Hacker attack shuts down Twitter

Hacker attack clamps down Twitter, Facebook also 'looking into' problems

NEW YORK (AP) -- A hacker attack shut down Twitter on Thursday morning, and Facebook also said it was "looking into" possible site problems.

Twitter said in its status blog Thursday that it was "defending against a denial-of-service attack," in which hackers command scores of computers to a single site at the same time, preventing legitimate traffic from getting through.

Hackers Target Twitter and Facebook

Unknown hackers have been targeting Twitter and Facebook, according to news reports. The world's one-sentence bloggers are stifled and stymied.

Children of Liberty candidate forum

The Children of Liberty held their second candidate forum tonight at the Sylvania Branch library in Sylvania Ohio. The candidates who spoke were Ben Konop, Kevin Milliken, and PREZ Washington. Other candidates in attendance were John Adams and Michael Watson. There were about 30 people at the event this evening.
