The location for the next Village Council meeting on Monday, Nov. 23rd at 7:30 pm, will be the gymnasium at the Ottawa Hills Elementary School, which is located at 3602 Indian Road. The meeting location will provide more space for interested citizens who wish to attend.
Oust Webb, take back Point Place
As a former Point Place resident, I watched with amusement as the "Take Back Toledo" campaign worked to get a recall petition on the ballet to oust Carty Finkbeiner as mayor of Toledo. I think it's time for the residents of Point Place to start a new recall campaign to "Take Back Point Place," and oust Lindsay Webb.

Fisher discusses the TPS State Report Card Results
Fisher Advocates for More Attention to our Schools in Academic Watch and Emergency
Yesterday TPS Announced the State Report Card Results and based upon the data TPS will remain in Continuous Improvement. Board Member Darlene Fisher, a long time advocate for families and educational progress in our public school system congratulates the students, parents,TPS teachers and staff and the community; all have contributed to the effort.
Teamwork Toledo will host a meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, August 12, from 6-8 pm at the Ottawa Tavern, 1815 Adams St.
Come meet the five independent city council candidates who make up Teamwork Toledo-- young professionals and business owners who are running for office to become public servants, not professional politicians.
The public is invited to this free event to share their concerns, offer ideas, and hear the candidates' views on the state of city government and their proposed solutions.
In case you did not already see, the city is naming the bike path at Ottawa Park after Robert.

TPS is once again being pilloried -but this time with great justification. "Early scores show that Ohio 3rd through 8th graders are getting a "C" average or better in reading. Only 51 percent of 8th graders across the State passed the social studies section of the test. Regarding local averages: Ottawa Hills was Lucas County's top performer with 83 percent of the kids passing the test. On Saturday, May 23rd at approximately 2:15 a.m. after a short pursuit involving 2 motorcyclists, Ottawa Hills Police Officer Thomas White conducted a traffic stop involving motorcyclist Michael McCloskey. Shortly thereafter, Mr. McCloskey was shot by Officer White. Mr. McCloskey was transported to the Toledo Hospital for medical care. The other motorcyclist was taken into custody without incident by a second Ottawa Hills Police Officer.
I agree with Sarkozy and Lyons. There was a full burqa woman at Ottawa Park golf course the other day with her family. When you come to America, assimilate! Women are free here.

TOLEDO, Ohio - A unarmed motorcyclist allegedly shot in the back by an Ottawa Hills police officer, paralyzed and severely burned during a traffic stop filed a civil suit yesterday in U.S. District Court against the officer and the village where the incident took place on May 23.
Today is Bike To Work Day so both Keith Wilkowski and Mayor Finkbeiner will be riding thier bikes to work, sort of. Wilkowski will bike from Ottawa Park which is near his home and will finish at his campaign headquarters. Finkbeiner will start at Walbridge Park and head to One Government Center which is about 4 miles.
