A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

Wow, I am watching that Primetime live program on ABC and boy it looks bad. I guess the nation knows our dirty little secret that police response times in Toledo suck. The Toledo Police look like fools for telling the parents to not worry, then taking so long to respond and releasing the criminals. A squadron of police cars chasing down a doughnut van surely would draw some snickers.

Even hearing about it made Rock Island police Capt. Scott Harris chuckle a bit.

"I can't imagine what that must have looked like," he said.

A stolen van belonging to a Moline doughnut shop made an illegal bi-state journey Thursday, ending in a police chase in central Iowa.

It appears someone has topped Carty's $10,000 shower. I guess the grass is not always greener.
