from Saturday's Pages of Opinion from the Blade:
"Disabled spots are for those who need them
Many years ago, early in Carty Finkbeiner's political career, he approached my mother in a downtown parking garage. She was parked in a handicap spot with the appropriate handicap sticker. He literally got in my mom's face because she didn't "look handicapped." She suffered from emphysema and couldn't breathe if she walked long distances. He told her she was taking the spot from someone who could truly use it. Well, Carty, I'm glad your dog was breathing easy in that parking spot. I'm sure my mom is rolling over in her grave.

Talking about hypocrite and pathetic. Carty? You can stomp down Toledo one citizen at a time, but I am looking forward to those that got "stomped" collectively shoving it up and breaking it off.
I have a friend who worked on Czarlton's campaign. Twelve weeks before he joined the campaign my friend had open heart surgery. He recovered very well. After about eight weeks he was able to do kind of normal things. The exceptions were, don't lift more than ten pounds, don't play sports, stay inside if the temperature is above 90 degrees. My friend followed his doctors orders. My friend worked eight to twelve hours a day on the campaign for about three months including Saturdays and Sundays. Also, my friend is legally handicapped. He has a condition that runs in his family called Exostosis. Occasionally, he had difficulty keeping up with the pace of the campaign, but never the less he hung in there. My friend also donated several thousand dollars of food, gasoline and vehicle use to Czarlton's campaign. He learned later on that Czarlton's opinion of him was very negative. Czarlton had been telling people on the campaign committee that this friend of mine was lazy. Of course you can probably guess which ethnic group my friend belongs to. I guess this is a long drawn out way to make a point, but here it is. Like I have said before, Czarlton strongly exhibits the behavior of a gender bias, racist sociopath. He conveniently makes the rules as he goes along. Of course the rules he creates don't necessarily pertain to him. We need to get Czarlton out of office immediately. In my opinion Czarlton is not good for Toledo or any other place. Lets get those signatures and vote Czarlton out of office in November.
You beat me to it - I was coming here to post the same thing.
Absolutely shameful.

I have another Czarlton story. An African American women worked on Czarlton's campaign as a door to door person. The lady was pleasant, energetic and reliable. She and her husband were in the process of buying a new house. When Czarlton found out about the house and that the house cost about $325 thousand dollars, Czarlton told her that she could not use her personal cell phone while she was with the door to door team to answer questions that the real estate companies might want to ask in preparation for the closing. A big argument occurred and Czarlton told the lady that it was his campaign and she could only take or make calls on her personal cell phone to discuss the closing with his permission. Needless to say, the lady quit the campaign, but she returned a few days later when Czarlton told her she would benefit after he was elected. She worked on the campaign and helped Czarlton get elected to the very end. Her reward from Czarlton? This thirty-five year old African American woman, who has a Masters Degree, was offered a position with the City of Toledo as a Mayor's Assistant paying $22 thousand dollars a year, approximately one third of the minimum salary she should have been offered. If anyone out there wants to hear more stories about Czarlton, let me know. I have dozens of them.
I've often heard from people close to Carty that he treats his enemies better than his friends and that a lot of folks that worked on his campaign totally got screwed as far as jobs, pay and overall appreciation for working hard and getting him elected, and to that I say "IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT"
That felt like a punch!but there"s and old
saying that I'm going to apply to your statement, ignorance deserves no reply and you my friend are ignorant.
P.S. NEXT TIME ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT WAS POSTED AND PROVE TO ME YOUR NOT AS IGNORANT AS I THINK YOU ARE.
