In case you have lost count, here is the latest Carty apology score card on the Carty vs Marines incident.
1. For kicking the Marines out after they arrived - Said he signed the council apology even though continues to maintain he did the right thing.
2. For insulting former Police Chief Jack Smith on WJR, saying he would put the Marines over his job and implying he was not a good police chief - Not yet
3. For intentionally or unintentionally swearing on WJR - Not yet, even if unintentional WJR may have to pay a fine.
4. For appearing to blame the miscommunication on the late honorable police officer Spann - Not yet
Apologies offered:
1. Carty apologizes for Brian Schwartz for swearing at WJR producer. Ironically, a few minutes later drops the f word intentionally or not.
2. Carty regrets the communication breakdown and that no one told him what was going on. Although Carty admits he knew about it really early in the morning, before the Marines left Grand Rapids and not to mention in 06 Carty says he told Smith and other city leaders about his desire to not have them "in Toledo" at all.
Other apologies that should be made:
1. Carty should apologize to Toledoans for the damage he singlehandedly has done to the image of the City of Toledo.
2. If the 3/4% levy fails, he will need to apologize to the police and fire since his actions most likely resulted in it.

...I feel he was acting (perhaps wrongly) in my interest. I don't think he has to apologize to the police if the 3/4% tax is voted down. Most Toledoans don't want to pay taxes. Certainly the ones responding here are mostly against taxes. When I vote against the tax it isn't because of what Carty has or hasn't done. I just don't want to pay exorbitant amounts for police protection. Better to buy a gun and carry it concealed for my own protection. Police didn't help when Chad's wife was struck down.
