IRS Plane Attacker Part of ‘Right Wing,’ Christmas Bomber Just a ‘Lone Wolf’

Todd Warner Houston on bigjournalism.com is taking on those in the journalistic community who are happy to label the nut who flew the plane into the Tex IRS building an extreme right winger while the underwear bomber is just a lone wolf, same with the base shooter; either the media should call them all lone wolf nut jobs or part of a bigger plan.

ONLY a fool would dismiss the Tea Party phenomenon as nothing more than a bunch of radical right-wing nuts gathering to vent.
Only a fool would allow himself to get swept up in baseless hysteria created by talk-show hosts getting rich off inflamed lemmings.
Only a fool would discount positions because they come tainted with meaningless labels, such as liberal or conservative.

David Kushma explains why editorials are not signed

While other major newspapers, like the Atlanta Journal Constitution do sign their editorials, David Kushma defends the Toledo Blade's stance. Some interesting tidbits:
===
There's a simple explanation, for those who are willing to hear it.

Our editorials aren't signed because they don't have individual authors. They represent the official opinion of The Blade as a newspaper, and the collective judgment of our editorial board.

As Washington works to rev up the economy and spur hiring with yet another dose of stimulus, state and local governments are busily applying the fiscal brakes.

El Tiempo: Year-End Numbers Show Toledo’s Economy In A Deepening Crisis

Toledo’s economy continues to struggle mightily, based on year-end numbers released by agencies that assist the unemployed and working poor. But officials on the front lines of the fight against poverty say many families are giving up hope and struggling even more as a result.

Lucas County Job and Family Services (JFS) provided food stamps for more than 87,000 people in 2009, a 16 percent jump in the number of clients compared with 2008. The number of people on Ohio Works First cash assistance also jumped by more than 11 percent in 2009.

Who is Ellie light?...

Unless you've been under a rock all weekend....you know that the internet once again illustrates why the dinosaur media is dying...and why the liberals want to prop up a state media in it's place....

Who is Ellie Light?

That is a question that a number of newspaper editors are now asking themselves. Ellie Light not only seems to be a prolific letter writer, but also a great supporter of President Obama.

The White House wants the nation's largest financial institutions to repay taxpayers for the costs of bailing out banks and automakers.
