The very fact that the administration can even talk about such a thing is proof that we are no longer living under a constitution and this is no longer the United States as we have believed it to be. Apparently, Bush thinks that he can do anything and is not constrained by any laws or institutions. He doesn't have to consult with anyone. He just does it. This has to be the greatest recent bloodless usurpation of power since Papadopoulos engineered a coup in Greece in 1967. And we are all letting it happen.
The Democrats are no better. They have been aiding and abetting these scoundrels since the beginning and did little better when they were in power. Republicans and Democrats - they're all crooks and con-artists.
