Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge James Bates has dismissed a lawsuit filed by the UAW, ruling that county Juvenile Court Judge Denise Cubbon was within her power when she threw a union member out of a meeting with the judge and others in June.
MY enjoyable read:
In several letters, Judge Cubbon claimed the county commissioners - in particular, Commissioner Pete Gerken, a former UAW official - were undermining her position.
Mr. Gerken and his fellow commissioners said they only wanted Judge Cubbon to go back to the negotiating table.
She rescinded the union's representation shortly after two of her family cars had their tires flattened, although she did not accuse the union of the vandalism.
Despite political pressure from the county commissioners and Democrats from the state legislature, Judge Cubbon has continued to deny the union the permission to represent her employees.
On Tuesday, all three commissioners approved a resolution urging Judge Cubbon to reconsider her position.
Mr. Gerken, who introduced the resolution, said it was timed with the upcoming Labor Day holiday in mind.
just by definition, Gherkin is truly a lead scumbag in a long line of worthless union-fed democrats.
A memo to the commissioners? This is not your realm, try focusing on your JOBS! Stay the hell out of private affairs that do not pertain to your positions. It's one thing to try and force you agendas down our throats, ie; COSI, United Way, but it's completely different to vainly influence a judge.
And to the rest of you mooching seat warming democrats? You cheezy union-stained ELECTED OFFICIALS really need to spend time focusing on what you were ELECTED to do, and UNION WORK is not part of your job description. In case you scumbags missed it, you work for your constituents, not the leeching UAW. Enough of you doing the bidding of the UAW on the people's time.
CONGRATS YOUR HONOR!!
Chris, could you close the bold tab after : "others in June." above where I wrote "MY enjoyable read:"?
thank you
much appreciated
did anyone really think that one judge would go against another judge? Whatever happened to the investigation of the flattened tires?
It paints an accurate picturesof why Toledo is rated so low in national surveys. Perhaps Mr. Gerken will be kind enough to shut off the lights as he and his cronies exit Toledo.
takes time to strip some of these abandoned vacant mansions to make up for lost union dues
