The candidate is on the airwave, radio, TV, on the web and so on.
What publicity did he miss?
I don't know how many political campaigns Mr. Neff has run in his career so this isn't meant to denigrate his abilities, just to question. Isn't it the responsibility of the McCain campaign to arrange appearances, interviews, etc. etc. They would be charged with security and any other details. Why would a national campaign turn any of this over to a local party wing? And from what I saw and heard on TV they got plenty of coverage. I think the Obama people would be more upset since his event only drew about 150 people to the street. I would have thought the great masses of unwashed, unemployed would turn out in droves for a glimpse of the man who has the audacity to hope.

the local party goes out of its way to schedule a protest...or a rally..i was involved in the 04 W campaign...and there was a hell of an organization when these visits happened...I have not even got an email of any event this year from the local party...i don't even know the phone number of the party hq...it is how many days before an election? maybe if jon was not testifying on behalf of robert croak...he would have time to organize...or if the dumb dumb anderson was not helping put on concerts at the market....the rs would be more organized...did anyone see the 3 people making phone calls at the republican hq in 13abc? Noe had 2 to 3 times more than that...jon is right he is no Noe...that is for sure
It has been my experience that it is the local party that puts out the word to get an airport welcome together. GWB made a speech at the airport that was unscheduled because of the large crowd. When I saw him downtown in 04 the dems had protesters there which is their right. Change was needed for lucas county repubs. Any change does not qualify as good change. Stain is welcome top give his side anytime.
as one of the unwashed with the audacity to hope and the reason I and others like me did not flock to the library is because we were already told that it was a private affair and with the secret service and TPD in attendence sometimes it is best to stay home. Besides 10,000 or more of is saw this "audacious" man in March.
