There have been many pastors speaking about the upcoming election.

Now a pastor from Baltimore, MD; Pastor Jamaal Harrison-Bryant of Empowerment Temple speaks about the Republican Party, John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Pastor Bryant makes reference to Sarah Palin being bipolar as well as beng a product of a trailer park.

You can view it on YouTube:

Pretty judgmental for a man of God, dontcha think? I mean the trailer park reference?? Wow - pretty sad for "supposed" man of god to be denigrating someone from coming from lowly origins.

Possibly if he ever read the bible he'd see where they said the same thing about someone who came from a dog patch kind of little town named Nazareth. (John 1:46)

I mean, putting up a post because some Twit who's never actually MET Palin has something bad to say about her is kind of silly, dont you think? Especially when you remember the quote from the man Obama called his mentor of 20 years - "God Damn America"...

I'm not a fan of Palin's (she's fine in Alaskan politics - power abuse, not withstanding - but she's ill equipped to be VP or president) - she's been overly hyped, poorly vetted, and is in over her head (whether she knows or admits this remains to be seen - but there are many Republicans who loved her, who are now saying she should do the right thing & withdraw because she's embarrassing herself). That said - I won't view the video because I don't think pastors, etc. should be poking their noses into politics. I realize it's this pastor's own opinion - so it's a fine line, not wanting to debate that here. I do think it's horrible of someone of the church to demean somebody this way. He could have phrased his dislike for Palin without name calling.

Also - I have always been disturbed by the term 'trailer park' as a way of demeaning or insulting somebody. It conjures up tacky images, and there are many people who live (or have lived) in trailer parks who are or were not tacky. For many, trailers are the only affordable housing, and many retired people sell their homes & move to trailer parks. A lot of great people came from trailer parks & that distinction does not define who they were or are now. I can think of probably just as many tacky 'trailer park types' who live in apartments or rental houses. I also know a few very upstanding people who live or have lived in trailer parks. There are also a lot of kids who reside in trailers who don't have a whole lot of say where they live, and remarks like this demean them. It's hard enough being a kid or a teen without having to have ugly baggage thrown at them like that. It's an ugly stereotype that needs to be put to rest.

on the 'trailer park' stereotype. I agree completely.

I expect more of you as a man of God. Why show unsubstantiated claims ?

I'm still surprised that Obama picked a racist as his running mate. At least Biden thinks Obama is "clean" enough to stand close to.

If ''CON' is the opposite of 'PRO', does that mean Congress is the opposite of Progress?
