Alaskans angered that Palin is off-limits

In stubbornly independent Alaska, the sudden intrusion of a political campaign into so many corners of state government -- not to mention Wasilla, where a dozen or more campaign researchers and lawyers have also begun overseeing the release of any information about Palin's years as mayor -- has touched a raw nerve.
I didn't know that McCain's team had taken over the press duties for Palin, including on issues of the probe (that pre-existed her VP candidacy). It's interesting... I wasn't thinking too much in particular about how her VP candidancy would affect her back home, and her constituency. If she and McCain win, it won't really matter, of course. If she loses, I wonder if her ability to get things done there will be at an impasse? At the very least, the intrusion of big-time politics (Dems diggin', Repub's blockin') is leaving lots of ripples behind that will remain when the smoke clears. Thoughts?
I"ve heard on more than one news station that Palin /McCain have a gag order on Alaskans until after the election - that they aren't to be speaking to any liberal media.
