"Ignore User" function doesn't work

Clicked it for about four trolls and I can still see their posts. Better luck next time I guess. Anybody else experience the same?

Ignore user function working in Firefox 3.0.1 OSX Panther.

are still visible from ignored user but are followed by this line

"...is on your ignore list. Click here to view this post."

that the ignore user only works on the posts, not the comments. I know I should know this, but I believe this is what the function is.

Totally worthless feature, then.

I was hoping it'd work like it does at other boards, where it wiped out their existence entirely, and merely said 'ignored poster' where the comments were.

Is there any way to tweak the ignore user function so that the comments are hidden as well as the posts? There are some really annoying posts lately that add absolutely nothing to any of our "conversations".

I can stand most of the juvenile bickering that goes on here but can do without the insane ramblings that have been appearing of late.

is a thin-skinned crybaby who doesn't want any knowledge or awareness of any opinion that happens to differ from theirs. It's basically an online-version of the 'Nanny-State' some people on here and elsewhere constantly refer to.

I agree, it's a totally worthless feature.

the main reason we need one, you filthy damned troll. You ALWAYS have to make it personal against me when you make a comment. I even tried changing my screen name once to throw you off the track, so I wouldn't have to put up with you any longer, and could enjoy the site once again,but Meyers, in his sheer genius, wiped out my new identity.
