Ok, so yesterday around noon, I used the TPS Web contact form and asked a simple question on if there is a regularly scheduled meeting this month. Well I have not heard a response from TPS. You can watch the counter on the right to see how long it takes TPS to answer a question from their Web site.
Maybe I need to be patient because they are taking time to investigate the ''vendor diversity'' of local banks. I guess I need to know where I am at in their priorities.

Well, not that I agree with all of the lyrics to this Moody Blues song, however I do think the overall idea and the question it asks is relevant here::
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war?
'Cos when we stop and look around us,
There is nothing that we need,
In a world of persecution
That is burning in its greed.
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
Because the truth is hard to swallow
That's what the war of love is for
It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me
It's more the way that you mean it
When you tell me what will be
And when you stop and think about it
You won't believe it's true
That all the love you've been giving
Has all been meant for you.
I'm looking for someone to change my life,
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
And if you could see what it's done to me,
To lose the love I knew
Could safely lead me through.
Between the silence of the mountains,
And the crashing of the sea,
There lies a land I once lived in,
And she's waiting there for me,
But in the grey of the morning,
My mind becomes confused,
Between the dead and the sleeping,
And the road that I must choose.
I'm looking for someone to change my life,
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
And if you could see what it's done to me,
To lose the love I knew,
Could safely lead me to
The land that I once knew,
To learn as we grow old
The secrets of our soul.
It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me
It's more the way you really mean it
When you tell me what will be
Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war?
'Cos when we stop and look around us,
There is nothing that we need,
In a world of persecution
That is burning in its greed.
this is fun
Maybe more of us should send requests too...is there a prize for the first person to successfully obtain a response?
Why didn't you just look at the calendar that's listed on the website:
http://www.tps.org/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=13&extmode=cat&ca...
It states Special Board Of Education Meeting Thursday, July 17, 2008 (7:30AM)
"regularly scheduled" meeting. Normally they have a meeting every last Tuesday, but there are some months where they don't and I could not remember if this was a month or not. I spent some time looking at the calendar and could not find the one for July or August. I will have to say that I did NOT rub LEMON juice over the screen to see if the meeting would appear. I would think they could pre-load the "regularly scheduled" meetings. But still, I don't know why they just can't say a yes or a no over e-mail, that is if they actually receive it.
BTW Yesterday the special board meeting was not added.
Feel free to contact them yourself at:

There is a reason why I am very curious about this month's meeting. After 2 years, I am able to do something I was not able to do before and I should have a treat for all of you during the meeting. ;)
Let us know if you get a response.
Let me know.
If there was a regularly scheduled meeting it would show up on the calendar and since there is a "special board meeting" listed? The answer was on the website already.
Personally? I'd call IT and see if the webform works properly, it shouldn't take this long to get a response.
Twila confirmed the meeting by calling a board member. Not everyone can call board members. Even if the answer was there was no meeting, a reply would have been appropriate. I will still let the counter continue until TPS sends me an e-mail. There was some problem with the form before, it was supposed to be fixed. It appears it is not fixed. How many e-mails have been lost through their form? Why do they even have it up if it continually breaks?
So I don't see why TPS cannot populate their site with the regularly scheduled meetings. They agree to the meeting schedule at one time of the year, so they have the full year schedule at one. So TPS doesn't even list basic information on meeting times. I also saw another special meeting pop up today on the calendar, for today. So much for proper notice.
I can't comprehend how TPS has such a good site they are not utilizing it. The last board meeting minutes available for download is from November 27, 2007. They should have more recent ones than that. Something is not right.
The IT admins and staff have the system tweaked so tight, it is probably filtering the incoming mail from the form as spam.
Sending e-mail in plain text is the one sure way to get the mail through, anything else and it is bounced and filtered as spam.
The IT Admins claim they are following the filtering guidelines set out to protect the students.
The filtering is for web access, not internal communication.
I tried to report a school bus driver running a red light, with children on the bus, and it took weeks of back and forth.
Drop 'em an e-mail and see if it makes it through;
colin.pregibon@tps.org - Director of Computer Services
don.johnson@tps.org - Acting Supervisor Operations
They are probably not even aware that there is a problem
It seems TPS has no record of my e-mail from the contact form. I wonder if they got cogigate's e-mail too? I hope they can fix it.

Chris,
I am responding to an email sent to me from Darlene. She noted that you had inquired as to if a board meeting is to occur in July. Their is no regularly scheduled meeting during July, however, the board is looking at a special meeting for Tuesday July 29th.
Please feel free to call me should you have any questions.
Thanks,
