An HIV-positive man convicted of spitting into the eye and mouth of a Dallas police officer has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Willie Campbell, who the jury said used his saliva as a deadly weapon, will have to serve half his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

The sentence should have been about 100 years longer, but I guess we have to take what we can get. He'll be up for parole in about 13 years, so I don't think he'll do the entire 35 - which I think he should have to do at hard labor.
There is compassion for those that are ill, then there's vengence for those that abuse their illness, especially when it's to burden another out of spite.
