I have been dealing with governmental agencies in the last several weeks for show prep for my talk show on WSPD. Here is my scorecard on how they responded to 21st Century FIOA requests (e-mails and some calls):
State Auditor Mary Taylor's Office - F - E-mails and phone calls have not been responded to.
County Auditor Anita Lopez - B+/A- - answered the e-mail, the data was correct the speed could have been improved, but it is acceptable .
TARTA - A+ - E-mail only requests, rapid response with complete information.
TPS - D+ - Calls responded to, but still waiting on my request on the Scott High School remodeling quote. They do get some credit for providing a someone to talk about Scott High School.
City of Toledo - D+ - could change - sent 2 e-mail requests in was given an odd response on why they could not fill one, replied back, have not heard anything. Original request was Monday of this week.
Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission - A - answered the questions, one staff took most of the day to research the issues.
TARTA had the gold standard on response times.
I always get the recording , they never call me back. Have been trying
to get a bus stop bench moved from the curb to behind the sidewalk. It
is on Detroit ave. near Arlington ave. in front of the post office. I
heard the bus stop benches are not TARTA's , but they could return my
calls with info on who to contact about that.
I did not call them :)

i DID potz around with them and did end up getting a real person. Very unhelpful and had a 'tude.
I then sent an email and got a prompt and complete response from the head guy's secretary.
