Well it appears that WSPD has once again gotten results. Since late April we have been banging the drum for action on an intermodal facility for Toledo/ Northwest Ohio and it is finally starting to pay off. The mayor after saying he has worked on it for 28 months, and had nothing to show for it, finally named a committee to study it. The head of the committee was on with me Tuesday morning in an exclusive interview. After calling for Mark Sobczak to make good on his promise to arrange for council to see the McMahon powerpoint WSPD is proud to say that that too will happen next week.
In the meantime we press on with a showing of our own on Thursday at the Health Ed Building on the Health Science campus of UT (formerly MCO) at 7p in room 100. It's free and open to the public, park in lot 43, watch for signs as you enter off Glendale. See you there, and bring your torches.
Feet To The Fire Gets Results For WSPD

This is getting results?
Another committee to study the problem and make recommendations.
How many studies and committees from the private and public sector have there been already and with the results pretty much the same, there is an opportunity for the area.
And still there is no movement forward, just more studies and committees.
WSPD has pretty much had anybody who's anybody in the business on the show, including folks from UT's Intermodal program... I wonder who's on Carty's little committee who's not already been involved in this?
Interestingly enough we've already had the committee chair on and I've spoken with other members about what research I've already done and given them sources to contact. They will see the McMahon powerpoint soon, and a number of them were in attendance last night at the Task Force Meeting.
