I was not able to catch it this morning, but did catch Doug Haynam calling in.
As someone who's run for office Chris, what did you think? Is there room for principle in politics?
there is. I remember the Garcia/Perry commercial which was run by the state and the bru-ha-ha it caused. It seems like both Dunn and Sears are running through the same issue, it is just that Sears is hitting more people. This is the nastiness that comes out in a tight, very visible election where the professional consultants step in and make decisions. Sometimes the method is lost during the excitement and between the exchanges of all the consulting fees. It was uncomfortable listening to it because she should have said she will work to get it changed, but she did not so that was disappointing. With that said, I still think Barbara would make a better rep than Dunn.
I felt the same way. I was taken aback a little when I pressed her for a yes/no answer and she said NO! We spoke off air about it also and she explained her position of needing the people in Columbus to back her up and not being able to say no to them. I agree she will most likely be a better rep for the district though.
I just about drove off the road listening to Doug Haynam call in.... He was spouting off about supporting candidate who are not for higher taxes, yet he is leading the charge to impose one of the biggest tax hikes in history. If he gets his way, the takeover of Sylvania Township by the City of Sylvania will increase the overall tax bill of township residents significantly. Thanks Doug!!!!!
