A college with a dozen campuses in the United States and Canada is planning to add another in Toledo.
Herzing College, which was founded in 1965 as a computer programming school in Milwaukee, is seeking a special-use permit for a campus at Hill Avenue and Reynolds Road.
"We've been looking at Toledo for two years," said Derek McBeth, president of what will be Herzing College-Toledo.
The South Toledo site was an attractive location and the college plans to use the existing 17,000-square-foot building that previously housed a State Farm Insurance office, said Mr. McBeth, who previously was vice president and registrar at Herzing College-Madison, Wis.
"We wanted to be in Toledo proper, and we believe there is a lot of potential here," he said. "Toledo is about to explode here in a positive manner, and we want to be part of that."

http://www.campusexplorer.com/colleges/0D7A238F/Wisconsin/Madison/Herzin.... Their tuition in Wisconsin is $12,700 per year with 91% of the students receiving loans that average $3751, and federal grants (on average) of $2281. And I am sure the city, county and state will kick in some money to get this new college off to a good start. So why send your kid to Yale or Harvard (or U of M, for that matter) when you can send them here, and only pay $12,700 per year?
