Congrats to BG for pulling off one of the biggest upsets this weekend:
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A whistle sounded prematurely, stripping Bowling Green of a possible game-winning touchdown and giving a second chance to Pittsburgh, a BCS team that probably didn't deserve such a break.
So Bowling Green went out and forced yet another mistake that assured Pitt of a loss the Panthers never seemed to believe might happen until the game was over.
The Falcons (1-0), scoring their second win over a BCS conference school in as many season openers, bounced back from a 14-0 deficit for the first victory by a Mid-American Conference school in Pittsburgh. Pitt previously was 25-2 against the MAC, 8-0 in season openers and 24-0 at home.

Big upset. Biggest upset might be ECU over VaTech, but good for the Falcons.
I was just telling my wife today that I had some unnatural hatred for Pitt. I have no natural reason to like or dislike them, hell sometimes I'll even pull for the Steelers. But the Pitt Panthers have always just gotten my goat.
With BG pulling off the upset, I figured out why I dislike them so much. While they have no hype about them, nor do they ever earn anything to deserve respect, they still somehow get it. Give me one reason why Pitt was ranked! One! Can't be done.
They seem to struggle with MAC teams. I did not see the final score on the ECU game. I am glad they won.

That story is not giving BG the credit it deserves.

It is an upset, why would you editorialize that it may not be? Even the announcers on ABC/ESPN yesterday all agreed it was an upset.
And it is interesting that the story starts out so negative.
That is really interesting. I am glad I linked to the USA Today article. I am a UT grad, but I can give BG kudos when they deserve them.
It's funny when you consider Dave Hackenberg is usually unabashedly pro-BG, and Autillo is their BG beat writer.
