Boeing union workers are going on strike. Maybe Boeing should relocate to Toledo where I am sure they would find a ready and willing workforce. "The average Boeing machinist earns $27 an hour, or about $56,000 a year, before overtime and incentives.
"Union members on Wednesday voted 80 percent to reject Boeing's final three-year contract offer and 87 percent to go on strike, mainly over job security. Both sides agreed to the extension at the request of Gov. Chris Gregoire and federal mediators.
"Boeing's 'best and final' three-year offer included bonuses totaling at least $5,000 and averaging $6,400, raises averaging 11 percent, pension increases and a 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment - $34,000 in average pay and benefit gains per employee, according to the company."

That's just great! Just when Boeing had overtaken Airbus thanks to the 787 they'll strike, lose all the contracts, and be left jobless. And then all of the non-union workers in the country get to help pay their unemployment benefits. Don't you just love socialism!?!?!?
Once again, unions shoot themselves in the foot.
And screech about how NAFTA is screwing them over when it is obvious to everyone else that the unions are doing everything they can to drive companies out of business or over the border.
