The we have this header on the main page...

Now we have this quote from Biden during the debate...
***BIDEN: You're very kind suggesting my only Achilles Heel is my lack of discipline. Others talk about my excessive passion. I'm not going to change. I have 35 years in public office. People can judge who I am. I haven't changed in that time.***
Makes me go...HUH?
way to take things out of context!!!
That's what people do during elections. both sides. And not just the supporters, the candidates themselves do it.
That's why looking at past actions and records is so vital. Question everything that's said and see if there's a track record supporting it.
Not to split hairs here or anything, and no offense intended KK, but you did sort of take him out of context.
First let me state for the record that I will not be endorsing either canidate, and I'm not a "liberal" nor am I a Republican.
Now, I watched about 95% of the debate, and I can pretty confidently say that I think when Joe talked about not "changing" that he meant his own personality, and not DC politics. It is actually quite evident in the quote as he mentions being scrutinized for his "lack of discipline" and "excessive passion"...character traits.
Not that I think Obama/Biden will really change anything for the good if elected, because I do not. The two main parties lost any credibility they had in my book long ago, and if anyone needs a reminder of who's interests these politicians have at heart, look no further than the 800 billion dollar bill they just signed off on us to pay.
How is the unemployment rate in Toledo?
How are housing prices?
How are the schools?
Any new industries moving to Toledo?
Any plans to create more jobs?
And one more question.
How long have Democrats been in charge of Toledo?
Is another Democrat really the "Change we need"? It hasn't worked for Toledo.
And since the Republican majority that was in Congress blew their chance at leadership, it is looking to me like the "Change We Need" is an entirely new political party.
Exactly!!! How about the Libertarian Party for a REAL change.
howz aboutz we ust get rid of the republicans for a while and see what happens?
*Newsflash*
The Republican majority of both houses of Congress was given up two years ago.
The Democrats have been in control since 2006 and what have they done for/to America?
The banking, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failures all occured while Dems have been in charge.
So we already know what happens when we "just get rid of the repulbicans for a while".
The Democrats bankrupt the country and stick it to the taxpayers.
The Democratic control of congress began in 2007, not 2006. And having a majority in Congress with the other-party's president in power is different than having a one-party domination in the Legislative and Executive Branch. I don't think your insinuation that the banking crisis has something to do with Democratic control of congress holds any water, any more than if someone blamed the terrorist attacks on the Republican government at the time, or frankly the economic near-recession of the early 2000's. There is a culmination of years of policies and mistakes, from both parties.
