ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Here's something Target Corp. isn't advertising in its Sunday circular: The discount retailer is now a major donor to a group backing the Republican candidate for Minnesota governor.
And that's not sitting well with every Target shopper.
Under new laws allowing corporations to spend company money on election campaigns, the Minneapolis-based chain gave $150,000 to a Republican-friendly political fund staffed by insiders from departing GOP Gov. Tim Pawlenty's administration. The group, MN Forward, is running TV ads supporting state legislator Tom Emmer, the presumptive GOP nominee. These companies are going to get hit in the pocket books by boycotts. And rightfully so...

Arizona's immigration law has little impact on Arizona's tourism

The Arizona Republic .
Despite the threat of widespread travel boycotts tied to the state's strict new immigration law, early results for hotels and resorts in metropolitan Phoenix show little evidence of any short-term impact.
Hotel occupancy was up 6.5 percent in May and 10.6 percent in June from a year earlier, outpacing national gains, according to Smith Travel Research. Average room rates were flat on an above-average increase in rooms. Revenue per available room, the most closely watched measure, rose 6.2 percent and 11 percent in May and June, respectively."
BTW, what ever happened to the boycott of Walmart? Has Walmart gone out of business yet? Or are they STILL the largest retail chain in the world?
I'll bet Target is looking forward to the increase in sales after another failed Liberal/Democrat "boycott" falls on it's ass.
Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a socialist.
The boycotting of Target must of helped its bottom line, huge profits were made in the quarter. When will the libs learn that stupid senseless boycotts are a waste of time, hahaha, stupid libtards. :)
Target Quarterly Earnings Rise: Target (TGT) reported earnings rose 14% in the second quarter to $679 million up from $594 million a year ago.

That's obviously a separate subject, and Target's CEO sure didn't sound happy about a possible boycott.

Well wolfy, careful what you wish for, ie boycotts. What's the difference between a company like Target giving $$ to a political campaign and unions doing the same thing?
Does that mean folks unhappy with politicians elected with the help of unions should boycott the products the union members make?

Yes JeepMaker we agree but the fact is unions actually give about one dollar for every ten dollars that corporations give in the past. Now with the new ruling from the Supreme court this number could exponentially grow larger. I'll try to find the facts but this ruling is a definite plus for corporate America.

on any items produced by UAW because their members donate money to candidates whose policies I do not agree with.

Sorry, that's a bullshit argument. That's a bit like comparing someone who killed 12 people with someone who "only" killed 3, if it's wrong, it's WRONG.
