News Alert:The Keith Sadler 12:30PM eviction ongoing!

The Keith Sadler eviction is underway. Electrical service has been cut from the house. Repeat service has been cut in an attempt to quiet the ever growing media frenzy associated with this. The Wood county Sheriff of Nottingham has not, I repeat, has not attempted entry of the long time home owner. The Sheriff has stated a May 28th deadline for eviction and disavows any knowledge of criminal vandalism to the Sadler meter box. Further updates will be provided. Live from beautiful downtown Stony Ridge Ohio.

Pay your bills in accordance to the mortgage contract or get the fück out, deadbeat.

Sadler is making no point whatsoever. He signed one or more mortgages which had clear terms on matters of delayed payments or non-payments. He's acting in bad faith. Toss his deadbeat äss OUT.

If we let people like him live in the bank's property without the contractual obligation, then each and every mortgage in the USA becomes null and void. And if that happens, I'm going to need back the money that I paid for my own domicile. Oh, wait, wait, that's pointless ... in that new age of zero obligation, I can just wait until one of the residents in one of those beautiful houses along River Road leaves for the day, and then I'll just move in and shoot them dead if they try to come back into "my" home. After all, nobody has to actually pay for their housing then, anymore, so we can just take whatever one we want. I'm big, I'm strong, and I'm mean and armed, so I should be able to get a fairly sweet house for myself.

Careful for what you wish for, those of you who support what this crook Sadler is doing. Private property is both a protection and an obligation. It's a right and responsibility. You can't sanely have one without the other.

Throw. Him. Out!

Watch out for Janet Reno. The eviction may get hot. f you know what I mean.

The live feed is back up now (2:54 pm) and they appear to have an alternate source of power.

the generator is working, and has been powering the feed -- also they have someone coming out to fix the power soon.

At around 12:30 PM a unknown assailant armed with bolt cutters cut power at the meter. An investigation has started, reviewing the hidden video tape. Assailant was spotted by our watchful observers. A verbal exchange had occurred.

Living with the threat of right wing wackos is always a possibility. Keith Sadler takes it in stride as well as being well prepared for such an event. Wood County may seem peaceful almost tranquil but a growing unrest threatens all who oppose the Libertarian ideologues. Caution is in order when traveling this county. A seeming hot bed of Tea Party rage has found a home here fanned on by the propaganda of a known extreme radio station. So all you out there that yearn for freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, and freedom to think take heart we stand up to the ideologues!

Sounds more like someone was not getting as much publicity as they thought so he had to kick it up a notch

Can you spell 'hyperbole'? How about using it in a sentence?

From Wolf: Assailant was spotted by our watchful observers. A verbal exchange had occurred.

I can just visualize this scenario.

Protester 1: Hey, gimme another hit. Yeah...
Protester 2: Hey man, do you see that dude over there?
Protester 1: Huh?
Protester 2: I said, hey man, do you see that dude over there?
Protester 1: Over where?

Eventually someone will straighten out enough to start the 'confrontation'.
Fuck you!
Fuck me? No, Fuck you!
Fuck! Fuck you!
Well, fuck you you fuckin' fuck you!

I'm just curious how much sympathy I get from the bleeding hearts if I buy a HD TV and then quit paying my credit card bill.

The rest of us, the responsible ones, if we lost our job, would probably get another job doing whatever we could just to make sure we could pay our bills and NOT lose our house.

Of course, the rest of us, the responsible ones who are being forced to pay your bills, would not have purchased a house we could not afford in the first place.

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a
socialist.

Unknown assailant uses bolt cutters on wire, verbal confrontation ensues? ahahahhah. All those people there and they couldn't stop or detain and unknown assailant? Couldn't get the unknown assailant's license plate number? hahahhahaah

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

I was forwarded the picture and it is clear that the power supply was cut:

The meter is on a side of the house covered with an ivy-like vine, so it is plausible that a person with bolt cutters or a similar tool could jack the power supply with the relative cover of the bushy vines. The box is also away from the areas where people congregate out front, and a person could walk away in the unfenced open areas behind Keith's garage.

Of course, there is no way of knowing whether this was someone pissed at the actions of Keith and his supporters, one of the TFDL activists themselves, the cops, or someone just being an idiot. This is an old meter, and whoever cut the supply is lucky that the cutters didn't short out to the ground wire or to the box itself (it doesn't look like there is any evidence of arcing, which would leave black residue).

IMHO the people in the house seemed genuinely puzzled by the sudden power outage, at least based on the reactions on the videocast and the typed responses in the chat box. They were convinced the cops cut the power and were noticeably agitated (cussing, wild speculation, etc.).

But who knows.

And what motivation would the police have to cut the power tothe house?

Uh, to hasten the process of forcing Sadler and his supporters out of the house: this is a common police siege tactic with barricaded people, That Guy.

Hate to burst your bubble but in my 10 plus years in law enforcement I have never seen this done with a barricaded subject. If they want him out they will go in and get him.

Sure, with an armed criminal who represents harm to himself, hostages, or neighbors, yes: kick in the doors and take him down. I am talking about lengthy sieges with people not deemed to be an immediate threat.

However, for your edification here are just a few links of recent episodes where police cut the power in standoffs; I just did a quick Google search for some examples:

Police cut power to end 25-hour standoff

Police cut power during hostage situation in Tennessee

Police cut power to Russian file share operation

Police cut power in North Syracuse standoff

It may not be the first choice, and it may not be the wisest choice, but there are plenty of examples where police cut power in an effort to move a standoff situation to resolution.

Also, there is the possibility that this was a rogue operation by someone in or associated with the sheriff's department. Given the rancor that this case has brought to the surface, it is not outside the realm of possibility that someone took matters into his own hands. The activists claim that the person who cut the power was in plain clothes (they say their lawyer witnessed the power cutting).

It's possible that the police cut the power. This event is getting a lot of attention and the local political machine and the bank may not want a ton of adverse publicity. I agree that in the vast majority of cases the police would just kick in the door and take the protesters out - after administering a hickory shampoo and massage, of course. However this might be an exception. After all, if the authorities cut the power and wait, what have they lost except a few days?

how did someone do that without getting fried?

Though I am not an electrician, for many years I did my own electrical work when I owned restaurants and I became quite proficient at: a) keeping machines running; and b) not killing myself in the process.

As long as the person wore rubber-soled shoes and did not create a circuit between the lines he was cutting and a source of grounding, he would be "safe." However, you need steady hands to perform such a feat of derring-do. It is much better to shut the power off at the pole and THEN cut the lines. However, whoever cut the lines without capping them is an idiot, because someone could be accidentally electrocuted by leaving exposed wires like that. Obviously this is also a fire hazard, as the live wires could arc against the box and be a potential source of ignition to combustible materials nearby.

And for the clueless trolls who did not read my earlier postings, I freely acknowledged that the cutter of the lines could have been just about anybody with an agenda, including someone on the side of the activists.

This is why I believe it to be some extreme right wing wacko who is stalking the Sadler compound. The days leading up to the incident were filled with hate speech from many media and internet sources. Areas of Wood county are a virtual haven for such crackpots a seething sore of discontent. A regular throw back to the old South. Now I'm not saying the community of Stony Ridge would do this...they've bent over backwards with support. I'm just saying areas like Perrysburg have its racists, elitists who think they run the world, screw the little guy. But we've adjusted our strategy and I doubt it will happen again without some form of resistance.

can you clean it up?

The loss of power due to any reason is irrelevant to the matter that Sadler must be evicted per the contractual obligation of the mortgage.

In other words: Sadler, pay up or leave, you deadbeat!

I have no respect for Keith Sadler or his supporters. Pay his bills and he would have no problem.

his arm to sign a loan. Payup or leave. If the police wanted the power off they would have simply asked First Energy to turn it off. If Keith is this far behind on his mortgage one can assume that his utilities are also late so FE would have just cause for turning it off. The more I review the video and their pusedo suprise to the sudden loss of power the more I suspect it was an inside job to garner support and blame the law.

About time they threw the bum out! Bravo!

The video depicts what appears to be the inside of a 60's drug house with half naked, crazed hippys wandering around. The all looked spaced out, and appeared to be chanting some Marxist slogans. "workers of the world unite", "kill the pigs". Hahaha

Yeah no shit your not an electrician Mike...

All one needs to do is unplug the meter then cut the DEAD WIRES...

Your ignorance is astounding....good thing you didnt kill anyone working on equipment you were unqualified to touch...which is also an OSHA violation you idiot.

http://www.electricityforum.com/forums/osha-electrical-training.html

Note the wires GOING DOWN ARE THE PANEL FEEDERS,THEY ARE DEAD,NO POWER.

Fact is...you know just enough about electricity to kill someone....

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Zeitgeist attacking the small businessman (in my previous life), supporting OSHA, and promoting colleges and/or union apprentice programs - too funny!

Your zeal to be a troll and cyberstalk me is amazing, Zeitgeist, as it trumps your supposed political beliefs. At least stay consistent, dude. BTW - you do not know jack about the 25 years I spent in the restaurant business, what my qualifications were, or my skill level at repairing electrical machinery. You could not be more wrong, but I am not going to waste any more time with your bizarre obsession with my personal life.

Nice try at trolling, though. Carry on, but perhaps take your meds first, brother.
