On June 10, 2006 Koua Fong Lee was returning from church with his family when his Toyota Camry hit an Oldsmobile at a St. Paul, Minnesota intersection, killing the driver and a passenger in the Oldsmobile. Lee is now serving an eight-year-sentence for vehicular homicide, but he has always maintained that his brakes didn't work. (ABC News) (VIDEO)

Lee's 1996 Toyota Camry hit Javis Adams' Oldsmobile at a speed between 70 and 90 miles per hour. Both Javis Adams Sr. and his 10-year-old son were killed by the impact. Toyota had issued a recall for some 1996 Camrys because of cases of random acceleration caused by a flaw in the cruise control. The recall was not presented into evidence at Lee's trial. (St. Paul Police Department) Lee was convicted of vehicular homicide at a 2007 trial. A Laotian immigrant, he testified through a translator. He never wavered from his claim that he had pressed on the brakes and the brakes didn't work. At his sentencing, claims his current criminal attorney, the judge said he felt Lee showed a lack of remorse. Lee is currently serving an eight-year sentence at Minnesota's Lino Lakes state prison. Toyota = Fraud

The bigger enemy to the US PUBLIC is a foreign company like Toyota, bribing officials, threatening news organizations by threatening to pull their ads, etc.

They have scorned our laws, our Safety Laws, infiltrated our Nat'l Hwy Traffic Safety Admin, a Div of the US Dept of Transportation, all while pursuing more profits.

There is no telling what the TRUE and REAL Toyota Safety and Quality records are, excep that we are sure that the present records understate their accidents, defects and NHTSA recalls, and overstate there good quality rankings.

Hopefully the members of the US Congress, our US mass media, and citizens will step up, investigate and uncover whatever bad news Toyota has been hiding for many years.

Surprise ! Toyota is NOT the Paragon of virtue and environmentalism that they have led us to believe.

This posting was from another site .I felt it sums things up pretty well.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed today that it has served search warrants on three Toyota suppliers related to an investigation into possible antitrust issues.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said the search warrants were served Tuesday against Yazaki North America in Canton, Denso International in Southfield, and Tokai Rika in Plymouth.

She declined to comment further because the warrants are under seal in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

Isn't funny how the owner of the biggest competitors of Toyota, GM and Chrysler, the US government is putting the screws to the company president. oh yea, it is about union jobs, I forgot. Today Chrysler announced a recall of 350,000 vans because of airbag problems. You think the Chrysler pres will be hauled in to congress? Nawww. :)

Has anyone else noticed how often wolfie is the first person to comment on a wolfie post? In order to present another side of the Prius argument....I have had no problems with my brakes.

I noticed that Fred. I believe he likes the sound of his own posts. LOL

Plus he likes to comment on Toyota a lot being he worked for an Italian Company. No word yet if he's planning to buy a Vespa.

MikeyA

He is the CEO of Fiat and now the CEO of Chrysler too.

And all it took was $22.1 Billion of American taxpayer money to bribe Fiat into buying Chrysler

BUY AMERICAN! And, since Jeep is owned by Italians now, buy a Ford!

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a
socialist.

MikeyA doesn't work for Chrysler.
