Loss of Media Freedom in Toledo

I remember a different WSPD radio. Back in the 60s and 70s WSPD was truly a news station in the spirit of Detroit's WWJ 950 AM. Now we get a WSPD morning host who doesn't know sports or the financial world. We get constant fluff of never ending fund raising, endless male enhancement commercials and extreme rightwing dogma worship.

Toledo media has changed. No longer do we get independent news anywhere. All our local radio stations are owned by either IheartMedia or Cumulus Broadcasting. We are down to one newspaper that has changed into a FoxNews outlet with little balance in opinion or in many cases news reporting. WNWO 24 TV was bought by Sinclair Broadcasting, adding another propaganda conglomerate for Toledo. Even NPR runs commercials to pay the bills and has affected how and what they report on. As a longtime resident of theToledo area its dishearting the loss of our freedoms and choice. No longer are we a free people.

The firing of an award-winning, long time editorial cartoonist is the latest blow to be savagely wielded against the Freedom of the Press. Attack Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like, at your personal peril!

SORRY -- double post.
