Blue Creek Wind Farm Paulding Ohio: Quiet and peaceful

Yesterday I traveled through the Blue Creek and Timber Road Wind Farms in the Paulding and Van Wert area. Over 200 are now operating. Now that the agitators have left, the community goes on as land leases pay millions to the local rural economy. I can report no loud noises coming from the turbines as we plied the byways of the intersecting farms. In fact my passengers laughed at the silence and how so much can be made of nothing. No signs of distress or protest from the residents. In fact new homes appear to have been built in the last few years. A truly awe inspiring sight who's time has come.

This is the company that owns the quiet and peaceful wind farm in Paulding - IBERDROLA, S.A. is Spain’s number one energy group and the fourth largest utility company in the world by market cap. A company with a 107-year history and roots in hydroelectric power, IBERDROLA, S.A. employs over 33,000 people in more than 40 countries and has placed the environment and sustainable development at the center of its global strategy. Now since the profits go to a company in Spain would this be like buying a Prius when the profits go back to Japan? Are the rules different for green energy companies?

One time those wind turbines went down and the toaster they power couldn't work--leaving one poor Van Wert household without its morning Pop Tart.

Infrasound often seems "silent". Getting out of the car and listening by the side of the road isn't a means of detecting long-term exposure to infrasound.

Good job totally missing the point, Mr Not-So-Independent. Aren't Liberals supposed to be educated and thus not make such a basic scientific mistake? I guess not in your case.

Advice: Continuing and refresher education is always available at a fairly affordable price (at least for a Boomer moron like you who's drenched in unearned investment wealth) at local institutions, so that you can re-learn (or learn for the first time) what "sound" really is. OK? Let us know when you enroll. Bye!

Hey, Mr Not-So-Independent? This is your blog, right? Why haven't you responded?

Think Tank Funding – An Overview of Current Debates
http://static.squarespace.com/static/52e1f399e4b06a94c0cdaa41/t/53173cca...

Accountability concerns are not limited to funding from corporate sources.
While commentators usually focus on the influence of ‘big money’ on the policy landscape,
government bodies (Chris Snowdon 2012) and trade unions also have vested interests that
may limit their grantees’ scope of enquiry (Jeffery Chen 2012), and may directly influence
policy recommendations (Guy Bentley 2012). In extreme cases, governments may form
proxy “phantom think tanks” (James G. McGann 2011) that are independent only in name.
Meanwhile, accepting money from foundations may also skew think tank accountability in
negative ways (David Dyssegaard Kallick 2002).

LOL he hijacks his own thread to take it off topic when he can't answer your questions GZ.

Too funny!

Ah, no.

The response I was talking about was for this statement:

"Getting out of the car and listening by the side of the road isn't a means of detecting long-term exposure to infrasound."

Are you going to respond to THAT? Apparently not.

You're just proving that Liberals go full retard when it comes to science that doesn't support their poisonous ideology.

Hey GZ how many wind farms have you visited? Here's and easy one. Take a ride down to Poe Rd in BG. Go to the house closest to the turbine (on the north side of the road) and knock on the door. You'll be enlightened! If you and the other arm chair critics would do your own research you'd find that most of this propaganda is BULL SHIT.

Ooooh, anger. That's good. It shows exactly how wrong you are.

Scientific analysis of infrasound shows it's more of a long-term effect. Hence, getting out of a car for a few minutes (as you claimed) isn't going to cut it. I hardly need to prove it. You have access to Google; learn to use it even when the conclusions oppose your ridiculous and childish ideology.

Why not just man up and admit you were wrong? Heck, once you acquire enough character from that sort of thing, one day you'll actually grow the fuck up and stop being a stupid fucking Liberal.

All across the U.S. huge oil and coal concerns are spoiling our ground water with fracking and digging unsafe pipelines to export U.S. energy. No concern with global warming or promoting renewable jobs. In the Toledo area we have a huge gas pipeline cutting through the Oak Openings Region to export our energy independence to Canada http://swampbubbles.com/blogs/mrindependent/20140907/et-rover-pipeline-i...
Ohio Governor Kasich beholding to these political contributors has put a moratorium on alternative energy in Ohio. http://ecowatch.com/2014/06/13/ohio-gov-john-kasich-renewable-energy-fre... The future is not bright for our kids.

Still citing opinion articles as if they're fact.

Lame.

FYI: Mike I know you're a young, wet-behind-the-ears poster, probably a bit lonely out their in military land but here's a word of advice. You don't have to respond to every post I make. If you haven't noticed I don't respond to every post on SwampBubbles or most of all YOU, lest others think of me as being a pest. Just a heads up from an old fart!

Paul I will respond whereever I deem it appropriate.

Here's a tip. If you don't want me to respond, stop posting crap attempting to draw attention to yourself.
