House Republicans Propose 34 Percent Cut To EPA Funding, Restrictions on Rulemaking
July 23, 2013
"The House proposal includes severe cuts to the clean water and drinking water state revolving funds, which provide capital for water infrastructure projects.
The clean water SRF would receive $250 million under the House proposal, a cut of approximately $1.2 billion compared with the fiscal 2013 enacted level of $1.44 billion. The House proposed to fund the drinking water SRF at a level of $350 million, down approximately $550 million from the fiscal 2013 enacted level of $899 million."

Ohio Gov. John Kasich Signs Nation’s First Renewable Energy Freeze

“Gov. Kasich promised Ohioans he would protect Ohio families, create Ohio jobs, and champion clean energy technologies. By signing this devastating bill, he has decided to ignore the health and economic interests of everyday Ohioans in favor of big corporations. We need Gov. Kasich to be strong on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green jobs to move Ohio forward.”

The people who ignore or cut environmental issues usually have the mentality that the business interest they represent are only a tiny, tiny part of the environmental picture. They rarely consider the synergistic effect of environmental discharges and they don't care. After all, their life in Camelot doesn't come into contact with the lives of us peons.

The EPA was established in 1970. So after 44 years in existence and trillions of dollars, shouldn't we have absolutely pure water and air? One would think. But, as we've experienced over the past week, the inefficiency of the EPA is staggering.

Let's cut the EPA's budget to 0 because it's sucking-in money and spitting out poor results.

Yeah, God damn that LIBERAL DEMOCRAT RICHARD NIXON for creating the EPA! Heaven forbid we should work on CONSERVING RESOURCES! LET THE CUYAHOGA RIVER BURN AGAN!
