WSPD's water crisis coverage better than in 2010 weekend tornado non coverage

Went to listen to the weekend WSPD programming and was shocked to hear Fred Lefebvre giving live coverage of the global warming Lake Erie toxic algae bloom. The water crisis is being covered by program director Scott Sands unlike in 2010 when a killer tornado tore through the Toledo area, on a weekend, while WSPD news staff enjoyed the weekend off. Tuning in for about five minutes Marcy Kaptur spoke live about the problems she is having getting funding to upgrade our crumbling infrastructure. At that point the biased Fred Lefebvre potted down her media interview grumbling something about Congresswoman Kaptur. If Fred ever want's to be taken serious he needs to let his listeners make up their own minds of who they want to hear from.

Oh My Non-Existent God, Fred LeFeeble is working OT and BEING SOMEWHAT USEFUL! Man, I feel bad for Satan, having to stoke those furnaces double-time to keep Hell from freezing over!

AC I was shocked as well! The 63 year old working a Saturday? Must have upset his senior nap time schedule. The Sleep Number bed, if he still has it, will be getting some extra usage this weekend. I can tell you I stopped listening when I realized he was going to blather on like Wolf Blitzer at CNN. I hope he gets back to his regular 15 hour a week work schedule so I can again listen to some rational radio on the weekends. Oh as a nonunion worker do you think he's getting overtime? Not likely that's why he's still working at 63.

I wonder if BOTH of us are going to lose the non-vested part of our pensions?

He's probably contracted so there's some rider in there on what he gets paid in this situation. WSPD probably also is responsible for providing him with Perrier or Evian too, but he probably forgot to bring his Metamucil with him.

Mr. Independent may be the only person who listens to WSPD on weekends. Fred ought to give him a Loyal Listener award.

Patience is a great virtue.

Actually I see WSPD and WIOT furiously tweeting about their coverage etc. so SOMEONE over there is on the ball. Wonder if the license is up for renewal or something.

The coverage allows us to see the buffoons who run our city government in a group photo.

Dear lord--I'm agreeing with Zeyadcharles! If you throw Marcy's name in with that group, you and I could be buying furniture together!!

I noticed they all were trying to crowd in front of the camera, too.

Thanks to all for listening.

Between watching government leaders(and I use that term loosely) jockeying for face time and the TV talking heads acting more like they were hyping the latest ratings bonanza Fred and WSPD coverage looked pretty darn good. The WSPD discussion had much more substance and much less sensationalism than the TV coverage I saw. Mayor Collins came across very well.
