Silo media at WSPD

It appears WSPD has built walls around any diversity of thought. A phenomenon known as silo media http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/03/06/partisan-politics... and http://www.pewinternet.org/Reports/2012/Social-networking-and-politics/M.... SwampBubble poster Willard has recently stated that WSPD http://swampbubbles.com/20131008/karl-rove-irrelevant-moron#comment-80442 allegedly told its staff to not post on public media blogs (other than those they can control and restrict). For a corporate media company to restrict the free discourse of opinion (through its representatives) by the public or its representatives is un-American. Recently WSPD made changes to try and appear more mainstream to, what I believe, garner a larger audience. It ironically promotes God and country through image building support of Vets and charities but posts racially "challenged" videos on its website and Facebook pages. Some of its staff openly promote anarchist Tea Party anti-government groups http://www.meetup.com/The-children-of-liberty/members/9865379/ . I find this station definitely fringe in its message. Most Toledoans should re-access what is rational and representative to the best interests of their city and country. Don't buy the simplistic seductive message of Hate radio.

All media is like this. They are used to controlling the message and that's what they end up doing in any new media outlet.

You can go on any blog and create a wholly fictional user name and then post away all you like. It's just not an issue.

Sad and ignorant Paul, you really should think of charging Fred if he isn't going to come around anymore. There isn't a whole lot of real estate in that tiny, narrow mind of yours to begin with for you to continue to let him live there rent free.

Clemson should get a clue. Just listening to the ignorant rantings on WSPD doesn't make it true. WSPD had a history of being a unbiased "news" station in the Toledo area. Not anymore, just a parade of partisan "think tank experts" delivering the daily fix of hate. Instead its become a tool of the wealthy Tea Party anarchist's cabal that just cost us $24 Billion in a phony budget battle to protect the wealthy from a tax increase. Clemson by virtue of living in the Toledo area is not a member of this wealthy elite.

Extravagant painted buses delivering the message of hate around the country.

"a phony budget battle to protect the wealthy from a tax increase"

Figures you'd see it that way. The facts are otherwise. The "individual mandate" tax or "shared responsibility" payment (in 2014, $95 or 1% of your AGI, whichever is more) hits the working middle class the hardest. But you Liberals absolutely hate the working middle class. Anybody who pulls down a solid wage or salary and works for it, earns your hate and so you label them "the rich". And you do that since Liberalism is Fascism in the usual disguise.

Old-school Liberals would have defended the middle class against Obamacare. Too bad those OSLs are either dead or cowed into submission. Now we have the new crowd of Liberals who are punks and wannabes who only believe in stealing from the wealthy, which means anyone with any money they can grab. The rich have a lot of defenses, so inevitably the real victims are the working middle class.

We real middle class are calling you Liberals out for your fucking nonsense. You can't win.

Fascism
(noun)
1) an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.

GZ you need to find another term for Fascism is a system of wealthy plutocrats and politicians ruling the rest of us.
Benito Mussolini:
What is Fascism, 1932
http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/mussolini-fascism.asp
"After Socialism, Fascism combats the whole complex system of democratic ideology, and repudiates it, whether in its theoretical premises or in its practical application. Fascism denies that the majority, by the simple fact that it is a majority, can direct human society; it denies that numbers alone can govern by means of a periodical consultation, and it affirms the immutable, beneficial, and fruitful inequality of mankind, which can never be permanently leveled through the mere operation of a mechanical process such as universal suffrage....
Sounds like the dark money funded Tea Party minority dictating to the majority.

Liberal actions in the halls of government are extremely right wing. Check your biases. The wealthy plutocrats and politicians rule us, Democrat or Republican.

I remember a poster who contacted SensorG's employer and complained about the tone and nature of what he was posting on SB.

Now we're upset that (if it's actually true) an employer doesn't want an employee to post on SB. Really?

The nature of the talk show host's posts were truly juvenile and potentially libelous. Haven't you seen a change since he left? Anyway I never complained to his employer directly about his postings on the net. He, on the other hand, has stealthy (out-of-sight) had me or attempted to have me censored or out right deactivated by his complaining. Anyway if he could act in an adult way I welcome the give and take.

Mr So-Called-Independent: Do you ever have anything to say other than posting propagandistic video clips? You're worse than an "email friend". We go on blogs to DISCUSS things, not just to get the TV message push along with the rest of the drones in the mainstream.

I'm starting to see that you just don't "get" what a blog is.

GZ I'll give you that both parties are working against us but the Republican party is by far the worst offender. Back to the theme of this thread, you would agree that if we are to be truly "educated" then one needs to hear both sides of an argument. On WSPD you hear one-sided propaganda. Its what George Carlin said long ago, "They got you by the balls!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi6XV8yBFoU I've made a futile attempt by writing them to at least have one daily program of an opposing opinion to give its listeners some balance. Its the right thing to do in a democratic society. I know there is liberal programing out there that would work in a liberal town such as Toledo. The medium of AM radio is universally heard while at work or in the car. To use the worn out phrase "turn the channel" misses the point. I live in a rural area and most ride around in their tractors or work place listening to AM radio. The whole area speaks in Rush Limbaugh zombie talk. Its just pathetic! Toledo has nothing to balance WSPD hate. You got to agree GZ we should at least have access to an opposing view in Northwest Ohio.

Do you own WSPD? Serious question.

If everyone is thinking alike then someone isn't thinking.
