Does changing one's name on Swampbubbles make the comments less idiotic?

It didn't work for Mike Coon, it's not working for Paul Wolfarth.

Personally, I have a bigger issue with the "poster of many ID's" that I see other posters clueless about. Having said that...

I always wonder 2 things in these abused-to-death baby cases. Why does the mother so often "get" the children, as primary care-giver, particularly when it's a young mother who thinks she has to have a "boyfriend" or her life is not complete?? How many times has Dean Sparks warned against leaving youngsters with "boyfriends"? There was the Matthew Catlett case of many years ago, a little boy who was beaten & scalded to death, with the mother in the house, if memory serves. 5 years old and scalded to death. I think the mother got something like 5 years. A male friend said she should have gotten the death penalty.

There was very little info being released to the public, originally, about baby Elaina - but it was obvious that someone in that house had something to do with this little girl's disappearance. It makes me sick, literallly.

P.S. "Diapergate"? You should have re-thought using such a title. It trivializes and mocks a serious situation - the apparent death of a little child at the hands of adults.

The largest sense of the problem is that Ohio is a "family reunification" state, however it's called. When the state steps in to function as the parent, placing children as wards, the overall philosophy amongst the care system is that families should still be re-united. The care system seeks to educated and evaluate, and once standards are met, children are placed fully back into the care of their parents or guardians. Since this is still a legal system that hates men, and we still have a society itself where men seek to escape, it pretty much ensures that abusive or uncaring or not, children are essentially kept with their mother over the long term.

There's no fix, or no easy fix, for any family unit with an abusive or uncaring parent. Ultimately the abuse of children must be endured. It's too expensive to have the state act as a parent. I'm hearing now that even when adopted, the state still funnels payments to the new parents. The hard heart will fix this, per se. Let the soft hearts function as they may, as distant relatives, even neighbors, take over raising children otherwise abused.

I googled this, thinking that I wouldn't find anything. But Lessenberry had Dean Sparks on his PBS tv show, and this was on the web:

http://www.wgte.org/wgte/item.asp?item_id=10209

Lessenberry did an excellent summary, which is below the video in the above link.

*THIS* is what you took away from the national coverage of a missing baby??? You are more concerned about one man's career (not yours - no homo, I'm sure ) than you are about bringing Elaina home?

You, Mr. Independent, must be one miserable human being.

Ignorant Wolfman, your obsession with me is getting in the way again. Nancy Grace reached out to us, not the other way around. I don't know how being on her show could further my career in the least since the show is already available nationwide on I Heart radio and the internet. If a little publicity would help to find the baby I'm willing to chance it. It's doubtful national attention could affect cost to Toledo taxpayers. Here's a link for the presser held this morning with Toledo Police http://www.wspd.com/articles/local-news-315557/breaking-elainas-mother-a...
It's so sad that ignorant Wolfman takes this story about a missing baby and turns it into an attack on me, just as he did with the Vietnam Veteran Event of last week. Maybe you should just stick to posting videos of us being a dictatorship.

Wow! Love the verbiage. I hope people aren't fooled by you trying to become mainstream. We haven't forgot the last five years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35WgpMq6e3o

Don't see how you repeating your name on national cable will draw anymore attention than what has been done here locally. National attention risks making it a media circus causing the police to spend time on answering questions instead of pursuing leads.

As for the Vietnam event I attacked the ugliness of war and cheerleaders who promote and profit from war but never fight in it. Never intended to disparage the Vets. They are victims as well.

Fred, you missed your chance to tell Nancy Grace "See you next Tuesday"

I spent the evening at a press conference on the case that was held by Terry Sr. at the East Toledo Family Center. He along with TJ, Angela's father, and a cousin of the family all spoke about the case. The press was thanked for bringing attention to the case and Terry Sr. who was on Nancy Grace with me spoke about his appreciation for the show and the exposure it gives to the situation.
Ignorant Wolfman or mrignorant, however he wishes to be named has no understanding of this story and chooses to denigrate it with the title of his post, and to denigrate me for covering it. Of course if I didn't cover it he would have a problem with WSPD not covering the top story in the city.
Everyone here knows mrignorant carries some odd obsession for me and the station because of his one appearance on the show and I've come to expect a certain level of stupidity when dealing with him. But this is about a missing 18 month old, not about me, nancy grace, or mrignorant.
Let's hope they find the little girl soon.

Wrong Fred don't lie about me I've "appeared" many times on WSPD some long before you, as if that means anything. This is a serious character flaw that many have noticed and experienced which calls into question your ethics. You're now trying to correct your extremist past by appealing to mainstream listeners. Some of us know better and shooting the messenger will not change the fact that you have serious issues that need to be known. http://rolandhansencommentary.blogspot.com/2011/09/fred-lefebvre-of-wspd...

Back to the question why would they go to you? Did other larger Toledo media sources decline the invitation first? I think most responsible news outlets would have declined appearing on this type of program. We've seen what happened when the media circus got involved with the Buchanan girl in Monroe and the Skelton brothers of Morenci . The cases were never solved. Give it time and the Toledo Police have a good chance of solving the case without all the outside hype and distraction.

I hold out hope that the little girl will be found alive. Children are vulnerable and rely on responsible adults to keep them from harm.

Whatever the outcome, there will be criminal trial(s) related to this situation. That brings-up the issue of the unnecessary timespan it takes for cases to come to trial. I just heard about a trial that is starting in Detroit where a policeman is accused of shooting a 7-year-old--three years ago!

This is ridiculous, and another example of the inefficiency and incompetence of government-run entities. Yet many Americans believe that more government is the answer--it defies logic.

As much as I hate to say it that baby is dead and that trailer trash hid the body. A lot harder to prosecute without a body. The Casey Anthony fiasco comes to mind.
Fredo, you are very influential in the community. Your like the Shaun the pest Hannity of Toledo. Please get the word out to the young people of Toledo on some "facts" that are often overlooked.
1) Be careful of whom you make babies with.
2) If your in a relationship now and you fight and argue all the time, having a baby will not make things better, things will only get worse.
3) To all the young woman out there who fill the need to have a baby to "full fill" themselves even though they don't have a job, live off welfare and whose "boyfriend" wears wife beater t- shirts, don't do it. Get a dog instead.
Wait, cancel that getting a dog statement. Seeing how the aforementioned above treat their kids, as a dog lover I couldn't stand to watch that. Read a Richard Simmons book instead.
Get the word out Fredo, please!

If you detest Fred so much why do you listen to him?

MikeyA

First of all I do not "detest" Fredo. He is a fine man. Don't try to start trouble. I do listen to him , do you?

I agree with your initial conclusions, Willard. The child is probably dead. The police have dropped enough hints that they're really only looking for a body now. It's disgusting to consider the body may have already slipped by us in some dumpster since emptied.

The Casey Anthony case did have a body, but that apparently didn't matter much, since the jury didn't find her culpable for her daughter's obvious murder. That might happen here, too. Parental incompetence, yes. But one must be careful to only charge such parents with what can be proven in court. So murder or even manslaughter, no. That was the singular mistake in the Anthony case, seen here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Caylee_Anthony#Arrests_and_charges

"On October 14, 2008, Casey Anthony was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to police."

Logically, the jury only found her guilty of providing false information. It really was the only stuff they could prove.

Your right but do you remember how long it took for that body to show up? What was it three months? By that time the animals had its way with the body virtually taking away any evidence that would of linked Casey as the one who threw the body there in the first place.
It appears that a body doesn't have to disappear for ever just long enough to screw up the evidence and create doubt. When the truth does come out, who ever was involved should get the death penalty if you ax me.

There was actually some fairly good evidence (as a set) that suggested strongly that there was intent to kill the girl, and then the girl's dead body was in some car. The problem here was in establishing that Casey did the deed. That uncertainty is probably what drove the acquittal. Personally I would not have chosen those charges at all. False info, yes. Some form of reckless endangerment, yes. But nothing along the lines of murder or manslaughter or even abuse (depending on how abuse is defined in FL law). Those strong charges must have been filed to appease the public. That was a huge mistake.

Fred what's the latest on this case? Has Nancy Grace lived up her promise to stay on top of this story? Has she called you for further updates on this?

Nancy has not called and I'm not aware of any promise, but that may be something she said to you. The Steinfurths continue to hold out hope for the return of Elaina and this Wednesday at 7p there will be a prayer vigil at Federal and Leonard, hope to see you there even though you haven't been to any of the others. I assume you are interested since you asked, and are not just being ignorant.
