WSPD What About Don Rally fizzled?

As the unofficial "What About Don" documentarian it is my moral obligation to bring coverage to today's anti government rally. I have heard rumors that the Toledo rally was a dismal failure. I looked for the hard hitting local news coverage and of course there was none. I did not attend the "demonstration" for fear of my own safety (allergy to pepper spray). I do know it was inline with other WSPD media stunts that were also dismal failures.

When will these ego driven talk show hosts realize after all its just entertainment and no one takes them serious.

Cult leader Fred with his two (2) protesters at city government. The problem is not local but with Ohio's governor and his cuts to local government.

School cuts cost Ohio a lot now, more later

Hey that's the same video I posted, sweet. Thanks for the extra bump of promotion. I have to say it's not much of a cult if only two people showed up is it? And since it fizzled I wonder if all the credit some posters give me for shaping public opinion and influence over voters might be misplaced.
I know if I showed proof of a failed protest I certainly then wouldn't claim that the leader of the movement was responsible for having much power over people. I would think a guy like Ed Schultz who used his show for months to sway voters to recall Gov. Walker would be a better example of power in the media.......well maybe that's not a good example either considering how the recall ended.

Glad to see you got the HELL out of the council meeting before they arrested your loud disrespectful self. Your choice of attire was uninspiring, looking more like you just came from a shuffleboard tournament than trying to lead an unattended protest. Were you wearing Hush Puppies? Some example for our up and coming Occupiers to model after. Go over to Woodville Surplus and get a make over! Anyway the Blade did give you attribution. Something you've craved since Andrew Z made the full page Blade entertainment section a week ago. Here's your three lines of mention at the end of the Blade story! http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2012/06/15/Parks-tax-levy-proposal-deba...

Thanks once again for the double shot of promotion to the above poster. I posted the Blade article under the topic "validation". I did find it curious that the writer of the article claims I could not be contacted as I have received no cell, land line phone calls, no e mails, no facebook messages, no tweets, no call this morning.
For those interested in my fashion sense, and that just seems wierd to me, I was wearing black jeans, a Michigan golf shirt, Chuck Taylor low rise tennies, white socks, and underwear. I did remove myself from the meeting which is more than I can say for Van Landingham.

Yes you did remove yourself before the cuffing. I think its a matter of age and physical health that lead to your fleeing the council chambers. You're not the 23 year old hippie you once were. Van Landingham did it out of principle, a overriding sense of injustice not for some ratings bump for his employer.

Does the Blade have your phone number? I thought you were legally at odds with them? Its not common knowledge and maybe if you post it here they will call or maybe a Ron Coon!

Yeah Fred, the Walker recall efforts championed by Ed Schultz fizzled just like the WSPD efforts to recall Carty fizzled. Seems to me you guys put a lot of effort in getting Rich Iott elected and look where that got ya. So maybe the whole media personality as opinion maker isn't all that it appears to be. Just saying...

of jobs here in Toledo / Lucas County , with your votes for job killers.
I must also thank you endlessly for voting for those who have put Toledo's Public Schools, in perpetual " in crisis mode", for over 27 years.
Your votes to kill Toledo's tax base, causing our home values to plummet are directly related to your voting pattern also.

With thousands upon thousands of citizens fleeing Toledo, for the very same reasons I've mentioned...I trust that you are very Proud of yourself and the elected officials who are responsible ( along with you ), for Toledo's declension into a Third World Toilet.

Yes, Toledo, needs more citizens like you like Africa, needs more AIDS & dictatorship victims !!!

Two days and looking at several media sources facebook, ToledoTalk, WSPD, and The Blade I've, as the official documentarian, have concluded this whole "What about Don" movement is a total flop. That's show business!

Sing along with the WSPD players!
There's No Business Like Show Business lyrics

There's no business like show business
Like no business I know
Everything about it is appealing
Everything that traffic will allow
Nowhere could you get that happy feeling
When you are stealing that extra bow

There's no people like show people
They smile when they are low
Yesterday they told you you would not go far
That night you open and there you are
Next day on your dressing room they've hung a star
Let's go on with the show...

The costumes, the scenery, the makeup, the props
The audience that lifts you when you're down
The headaches, the heartaches, the backaches, the flops
The sherriff who'll escort you out of town
The opening when your heart beats like a drum...
The closing when the customers don't come...

There's no business like show business
Like no business I know
You get word before the show has started
That your favorite uncle died at dawn
And top of that, your pa and ma have parted
You're broken-hearted, but you go on

There's no people like show people
They smile when they are low
Even with a turkey that you know will fold
You may be stranded out in the cold
Still you wouldn't change it for a sack of gold
Let's go on with the show
Let's go - on with the - show...

Quote from article:

As catchy as the question “What About Don?” is, it’s completely directed to the wrong people. The answer to WSPD’s question is: Don Zellers is a victim of Bain Capital and its downsizing, outsourcing, etc. The fact that WSPD is using Don’s job loss as a rallying cry for you to vote is comical.

I guess that means as the unofficial documentarian you are out of a job. join the millions of others of union brothers and sisters who are unemployed because of govt. policies.

What About Don? Lucas County voters will face seven levies on November ballot
http://www.toledofreepress.com/2012/07/26/what-about-don-lucas-county-vo...
Don took a pay cut from his troubled employer ClearChannel last year. Is it the fault of local government that Don chose to buy a house with a near bankrupt employer as his source of income? Many have said real estate is a bad deal going forward. With corporate America calling the shots in taxation its only natural that the powerless homeowner pickup the slack in state taxcuts for the powerful.
Don should look to Ohio Governor Kasich. The governor has eliminated many sources of state revenue sharing for Lucas county. This has benefited the wealthy well connected corporations but for the lowly Toledo homeowner not so much. Another problem is the disloyalty of the consumer who does not support local businesses/employers.

Reading the full article you will find nowhere does Don blame the local government for his choice to buy a house in Toledo. What can be blamed on Toledo though and it's 50 years of Democrat rule is the lack of any clear plan to bring jobs to this city, county, or area. What can be blamed on Toledo and it's Democrats is the unfailing love they have for all things public sector instead of looking for efficiencies and privatization options. What can be blamed on the 50 year Democrat rule is the constant swinging door of the same political families eating at the public trough at the expense of a dwindling and out of work population.
Don takes full responsibility for his choices and if he takes my advice will vote no on each and every levy and save himself over $300 instead of raising taxes on himself.
